I’m rewatching Avatar and I just realized a pretty cool detail about the scenes of Aang consulting the past Avatars. Although the implication to kill Ozai is there is all their advice, I think it’s really interesting how Yangchen is the only one to really say “Buck up kid, put your morals aside and get the job done.”
Cause Roku is only saying ‘make a firm decision’ and Kuruk is saying to forge his own path and do things his way. Even Kiyoshi saying ‘justice will bring peace’- the injustice isn’t that Ozai exists. The injustice is that he’s abusing his firebending for his own gain and that’s what’s upsetting the balance.
