Fly a kite festival Fuerteventura
Life isn't all work and moving! After running some errands, I took the afternoon off to enjoy the Washington State Kite Festival in Long Beach, WA. I dream of flying these big art kites someday (when I actually have time for another hobby!) I think the crane is my favorite from this year, but they're all just marvelous.

Nothing captures the chaotic energy of 1980s leisure quite like "High-Stakes Multitasking." Here we see a man attempting to master the winds of the upper atmosphere while simultaneously managing the thermal regulation of two beef pucks the size of small dinner plates. Those aren't burgers; theyβre meat-based structural foundations.
The composition is peak 1985, the vibrant green grass, the promise of a lake-side afternoon, and the absolute faith that a thin sheet of aluminum foil is the pinnacle of culinary technology. One can only assume that as soon as the kite catches a decent thermal, Dad is going to have to make a choice: lose the kite to the Great Lakes or lose the dinner to the charcoal gods. Itβs a suburban thriller captured in a single frame.
