Ulfric had agreed to host the wedding, he was excited to say the least. He had Galmar and Jorlief set up decorations, an alter, and hired bards, cooks, and a peculiar jester. The day had finally arrived and the Palace of Kings was decorated with light blue and yellow silk hanging from the ceiling, yellow and white flower petals were scattered about the main hall. The wedding would be outside, since that was what Kira wanted most. It was a mostly public ceremony, it wasn't very often that a Divine himself got married in the streets of Windhelm. She thumbed the odd feeling snow white fabric that made the dress she wore puff out around her. It had small sapphire blue stones scattered around the skirt, and an elaborate pattern made of them sewn on the front. "You look like the High Queen." Galmar grunted placing a Sapphire and moonstone circlet on her head. Her red hair was braided down her back in complex designs, and there were several flowers woven between braids. "I'm going to take that as a compliment for now." She replied, looking in a looming mirror. "You'll remember me right? Maybe tell Mara an' them 'bout me too?" He asked, with a lot less grunting. He sounded almost, sentimental. "Galmar," she said turning around to face him "I would never forget you. I have a feeling the gods know of you. All of them." Before she knew it, Galmar had wrapped her in a bear hug and squeezed her. She could feel his muscular arms practically crushing her. "Galmar are you crying?" Ulfric's deep voice rumbled from the doorway. Causing Galmar to release Kirabelle and shake his head. "It ain't everyday one of my best friends gets married ass." He replied with a chuckle. "Talos is lucky, very lucky my dear Kira." Ulfric said, grasping her shoulders and staring at her for a moment, Emerald eyes boring into Sapphire ones. "Thank you." She replied, feeling slightly embarrassed. The two would be the ones to escort her to Talos and she was great flu for that. Silently they left her, thinking a thousand thoughts. An hour or so later she was presented with a large arrangement of flowers by a little girl called Sofie. She was also given a mesh like piece of cloth that went under the circlet as a veil. She knew it was time. Ulfric and Galmar came to the room again and walked with her around the back of the palace, the trio were to leave through the docks then go through the looming gates and walk straight to the courtyard for the wedding. She could have sworn her heart was no longer beating. Or, it was beating too fast to be recognized. She felt a wet droplet on her hair and noticed it had just begun to snow. It suddenly struck her that the eight other divines would likely be present at this celebration. Mara was one she suspected would defiantly be there. That heightened her heart rate. Her toes curled inside the white fur-lined boots she wore, it was an odd nervous habit of hers. The gates opened with a small creak and a song involving the lute, flute, and drums picked up. She could practically feel the eyes on her. She could feel her heart beating again, it fluttered in her chest like a caged bird. She swallowed hard as the came to be in front of the crowd and Talos. Not to her shock, Mara stood at the shrine to perform the ceremony. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered hear today to witness the joining of two souls in eternal love and companionship. For it was I, Mara, who descended to Nirn to teach man how to love," Kirabelle wondered if people could hear her heart, it wouldn't have surprised her if they could "Do you agree to be bound in love now and forever?" Mara asked Talos. He gazed lovingly at Kira and replied "I do, now and forever." "Do you agree to be bound in love, now and forever?" The Divine asked, turning to face Kirabelle. "I do, now and forever." She was amazed that she hadn't stammered or made a fool of herself. "Then, let it be so." Mara mused, and raised both hands "I present you two with these matching rings, blessed under my gaze. Talos, you may now- oh. She stopped short. Almost ask soon as Kirabelle had said her vows Talos had kissed her. They stayed like that for about a minute. The applause from the crowd was deafening, and Kirabelle saw that Galmar had a few tears running down his face, and Ulfric had one gathered in his eye. The two walked down the aisle hand in hand, both smiling and laughing. divines-above
