第一週末、広島住んでいる時、ホストファミリーのクラブのリーダーは私に近い山口の場所の紹介のために運転した。先に広島の外のサービスエリアに止まって、スタバで飲み物を買って。昼ご飯のレストランが山賊と呼ばれる。食品はすごく美味しいよ。金属の杭に盛る鶏肉とおむすびは有名な食べ物だ。それと焼き肉を食べて、デザートなら焼きもちをぜんざいに食べた。

次に岩国へ行った。古い橋からこの市街は名所だ。錦帯橋が第一回目1600代に建った。橋は五つの反りがある。本当にきれいだよね。三度岩国へ行ったのに、ロープウェイに乗らないで、山城に入ったことない。冬は閑散期、だから第三回はロープウェイはシーズンオフだった。ロープウェイターミナルの近くに小さな市の博物館に入った。英語の説がすくないで、意外じゃなかった。それでも面白かった。

岩国の名物はれんこん、殿様寿司（とのさまずし）やアイス。アイス店でいろんな味がある：百種類以上から選べる。うまみの味もあっても、僕は食べたことない；甘い味だけやってみた。変な味の中に例えば茶漬け、しそわかめ、わさび、しょうゆなど。

リーダーは英語が上手いから、僕はしゃべりまくった。それぞれのホストファミリーは一般日本語でだけ話した。

A incrível Ponte Kintai-kyo vista à noite em Yamaguchi 🌟🌟🌟

Localizada perto de Iwakuni, província de Yamaguchi, a ponte é uma das três maiores e mais famosas da Terra do Sol Nascente. Kintai-kyo foi construída em 1673 para ligar o Castelo de Iwakuni com a cidade. Sua estrutura possui 5 arcos que passam por cima do Rio Nishiki, com cerca de 193 metros de comprimento e 5 de largura, é feita de madeira e reforçada com cobre. Em 1922, foi declarada "Tesouro Nacional", sendo também considerada uma das mais peculiares e belas pontes do Mundo.

But I immediately caught a cold. So I was in bed all day yesterday. Fun!

I’m feeling a bit better today. Still got a sore throat, coughing a bunch, but other than that I feel mostly ok.

I think the beau and I are going to a festival with his mom near the Kintai bridge today. I’m excited!

I can’t wait to enroll in a Japanese language course at the base. I’m understanding a little bit of some of what I hear being spoken, but I have NO confidence when I’m speaking Japanese.
