Drew Booster Gold to help get me through a hard time. I don't care what anyone says Booster Gold is my hero. That's my man. Also this is technically a redraw of an old drawing from like 2020 which I will post...

Given Will’s nihilistic and pessimistic view of himself and the world, he’s likely to never believe a shattered teacup can gather itself back together. Even if he preferred the teacup to remain shattered, it leaves him with a mentality that what is once broken cannot be repaired and is thus ruined and damaged goods.
This is his baseline type of thinking. That once something breaks, repair is impossible and must be thoroughly destroyed and then discarded elsewhere.
But that doesn’t help any character development. And reality has a way of stubbornly persisting even if he doesn’t want to believe it.
We know Will is capable of thinking differently, because often when he’s faced with the damaged, he tries to intervene in a way that makes things even in his eyes. And when he can’t, he has a hard time letting go and it brings him anger and frustration when he can’t be god.
The best solution then is probably the perspective of kintsugi, which is a practice and art form of giving broken items new meaning by filling their cracks with gold lacquer. The concept is to accept that irreparable damage has occurred to the item and to honor the damage by seeing it as a crucial part of an item’s history and not as a deficit. It is a practice and art form that requires a mindset of mindfulness of being in the moment instead of wishing for the past to be restored or to believe a future is not possible for the item.
Clarice from the novels had a similar way of thinking in that she believed an entity of the past such as Mischa and her in the present could simultaneously coexist instead of it being a one or the other choice for Hannibal. Neither restoring the past nor discarding a possible future. Although Hannibal chose Clarice in the end, she offered him that choice of mindset and time to choose.
picking up the pieces (to mend what once was broken)
Day 2: Domesticity/Mending
Based on Kintsugi, meaning Golden Repair.
Read here.
Summary: Natsume drops a bowl and shatters it, but Shigeru has been waiting to work on a new project. This time, it's Kintsugi, the art of golden repair. Throughout the process, Shigeru-san reflects on Natsume and how, just like the bowl, he’s been healing during his time with the Fujiwaras.

I’m still on my Elden Ring adrenaline, so here’s Maedros and Elrond again from my AU! I wanted to go for a Soulsborne-y atmosphere to go with the game’s opening cinematic (and the trailers too, those are beautiful). Plus this is my first time drawing an arm at that angle, and I’m so excited with how it turned out! :DDD
Without spoiling too much story-wise (because I’m also kinda embarrassed to share my self-indulgent crossovers loll), this is from a little scene where the twins break Maedros and Maglor out of captivity in Leyndell’s dungeons. They succeed, but now the four of them have to escape the capital’s subterranean levels XDDD
I took inspiration from Japanese kinstugi for Maedros’ scars, though I’m still working on how he got it. Likely something magic-related loll I’ll think of something! Also, I had some trouble with the golden ornaments on his sword, but I’m satisfied with it for now.
POV: You’re Mamá-san/Grandmamá-kun
I’m so happy that we can make poses now. It’ll all go on Nexus when I’m done - for now, check here if you want the current version.

KintsugiÂ
As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.
