Happiness is found in moments of connection, in unexpected joy, in the thrill of adventure and the new, and in appreciation for every blessing no matter how big or small. Where do you find happiness? I am still processing how deeply moving my trip to Vietnam was. This series of photos where the awesome @tpy_academy team dressed me in an áo dài and we went to the historic city of Hội An are some of my favorite. I was so far out of my comfort zone wearing this outfit but they insisted and a student made this for me. I feel like I’ve just stepped out of a fairytale. It’s durian time. Do you know it, love it, hate it? I love it and I only get to eat fresh durian in Southeast Asia so I usually eat way too much. And I did it again because I had to try all the varieties available (there were five!). I am now in a post-durian food coma, completely stuffed and happy. They say if you like the durian you also like the smell. Health is a gift and a blessing that we so often take for granted until the moment it isn’t there. If I’ve learned anything from the last ten days it’s just how delicate the balance of our body really is. We may feel strong but doesn’t make us invincible. We can do everything right and try still sometimes get sick from circumstances that are beyond our control. I can’t wait until I feel good enough to go back to the beach. I’ve spent the past few days in bed resting and barely left the house. Today I ventured out for acupuncture and I’m doing so much better. I still can’t speak and have no voice but at least the body aches are nearly gone and I practiced today. Day by day I’m feeling more and more like myself again. Like I said, in some ways nothing has changed. I’m still the girl on the beach doing my thing 😊 This is a new photo taken yesterday. What do you see or feel when you compare the past with the present? I hope what we all see is how far we’ve come, how much we’ve grown and all the love we’ve shared.
