Despite the craziness in my life this summer and in the next few weeks, I’ve taken time to go on a long planned personal retreat. A few days at #kingsfold drawing, painting, sitting on the side of the ridge overlooking the Ghost River with my good friend Lorn, and learning about the gift of sabbath. So many favourite places in the world and add this to the list. The Kingsfold library. Stacks of books by Henri Nouwen, Richard Rolheiser, C.S. Lewis, Bonhoeffer. Mmmmm... even the smell of the books and the space is inviting. There are a lot of great Holy Week hymns, but I record only one a week, so I had to choose one.  I went with “Kingsfold” (used for “No Tramp of Soldiers’ Marching Feet”), which is one of my favorites.
