The wife of legendary Harlem drug lord Frank Lucas, Julianna Farrait lived large alongside her husband in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Memorably portrayed in the film “American Gangster” by Denzel Washington and Lymari Nadal, the couple were known as the “Black Bonnie and Clyde” in their heyday. And Farrait made sure that they looked the part — which may have helped lead to the downfall of Lucas’s empire.
Farrait famously gifted her husband a $125,000 chinchilla coat with a matching $40,000 hat to boot. And when Lucas wore the eye-catching ensemble to the Muhammad Ali-Joe Frazier prize fight at Madison Square Garden in 1971, many believe the outfit attracted the attention of the authorities — who would close in on Lucas just a few years later. Remarkably, though Farrait and Lucas were arrested multiple times and at one point placed in the witness protection program, they stayed together for decades to come.

I'm tired of reboots and remakes as much as the next person. That said, I want a remake of Mario Van Peebles 1991 classic, New Jack City.
Nino Brown is a fantastic character, but his story is cut in half because of the cops story. I don't give a flying fart about the cop story. I want to see Nino Browns rise and fall.
A ten episode mini series.
1. Series starts with Nino and crew taking over the tower.
2. Nino's rise and how crack ripped through Black communities in the 80's.
3. Nino has big plans. He's meeting with plugs and other dealers. The community is affected badly, but also Nino gives out food for the holidays he pays for college and after-school programs
4. The Lackeys episode. Focus on Gee Money, his childhood friend, he wants out because Nino treats him like shit. Duh Duh Duh Man, the quiet one who keeps to himself. Keisha likes chaos and being Nino's ruthless right hand. Ends with Keisha's death
5. Pookies episode. Informants in the house means spring cleaning. Nino starts putting big plans into action. Bye bye-bye Gee Money
6. The cop episode. Nino thinks he's on top. However, the cops are watching.
7. He's arrested, but Nino's not going out a loser and makes a deal with the DA.
8. Nino's living the high life in prison and seeing the repercussions of his drug kingpin days. He's changing his ways.
9. A dad whose kid died because of Nino's drugs episode. Follow him, trying to live his life, as reminders and memories of his kid haunt him. Or just a man who lived in the community his whole life who watched its quick deterioration because of Nino and his crack and wants revenge.
10. Nino's five years is over he's free. He's changed his life. No more drugs. He's being a perfect citizen. The dad or the concerned citizen can't stand to see Nino living the life his kid or city should've had. Bye-bye, Nino Brown.
Could you do a rival gang au? Enemies to lovers between Kingpin Lou & debbie ocean? P.s) love all your writing!!🥰
Thanks so much!! Here you are. This one was fun to write!
“Would you stop shoving cream cheese into your mouth and answer one of my questions?” Debbie complained.
“It’s not just cream cheese, Deb,” Danny rolled his eyes. “There’s a bagel under it.”
“Clearly not my point, Danny.”
“What was the name again?”
“Lou Miller,” Debbie spat, her hand grasping too hard around Danny’s can of Yoohoo, liquid spurting out onto the table as the can partially collapsed in on itself.
“Wait,” Danny stopped, holding his hand up. “Miller?”
“Yeah,” Debbie spoke slowly, looking up at him absolutely puzzled and now slightly concerned.
He let out a dark chuckle as he shook his head. “Deb,” he sighed. “She’s the reason I can’t get anything done in Vegas the past few months. Came over here from Sydney. Fucking flipped the Vegas strip on its ass. Pretty much her territory now.”
“Afraid so,” he exhaled. “Why? How’d you hear about her?”
“She’s in New York,” Debbie announced through gritted teeth as Danny backed the destroyed can away from her reach.
“Don’t do that thing,” he warned.
“What thing?” Debbie shrugged, trying to play innocent.
“This is what you do. I can already see the wheels turning. This isn’t West Side Story. Don’t go starting some rumble to claim your turf.”
“It’s my city, Danny,” Debbie growled. “Even you and dad backed off. Everyone knows it’s mine.”
“You don’t own New York,” Danny laughed.
“Yet,” Debbie hissed.
“Debs, I’m telling you, it’s not worth it,” Danny breathed. “Talk to your team. They’ll agree with me. Spread out your jobs. A couple in New York, couple in Boston. Go for somewhere new. Dallas. Chicago. Fuck, I don’t know. But it’ll be fine. Just expand your horizons.”
“Yeah, no,” Debbie smirked. “That’s not gonna cut it. Who does she have that I know?”
“Nobody, Deb. She takes kids off the street and trains them. It’s none of our contacts.”
“Kids?”
Danny shrugged. “Not kids, but you know, young twenties. Plucks ‘em up from outside the subway or whatever. Shit, I don’t know. But I’m telling you, it’s not worth finding out.”
“I’ll see you next week?” Debbie asked, pushing back her chair as she looked down at her wrist to check the time.
“Deb, that’s my watch!” Danny protested as the brunette started to walk away, tossing a wink over her shoulder.
“I have to find Tammy! I’ll see you next week.”
The brunette was already flagging down a cab before she was out the door, hollering out an address as she stepped inside the car, tapping her foot impatiently as she rode the twelve block’s to Tammy’s apartment. Who the hell was this Lou Miller? And where did she get off stealing her territory? She had to know who Debbie was and what she did. She was challenging her. Or she thought she could outsmart her and Debbie wasn’t worth her time of day. It was almost personal.
After finally reaching a breakthrough with Tammy, who finally submitted to Debbie’s stubborn desire to see what this Lou Miller was up to, Tammy was able to case out who Lou was using as a fence through her own contacts, and soon enough, was able to speak with someone on Lou’s crew.
“What was her name?”
“Nine Ball.”
“No, Tammy. What’s her real name?”
“I don’t know, Deb. Eight ball? Come on. You know people in our line of work don’t just hand over identification easily. And she works with Lou. She’s not going to just be at your every beck and call.”
“Fine. Where is she meeting me?” Debbie sighed, checking her stolen watch.
“Vesselka. Tomorrow. 10am.”
“What?” Debbie asked, surprised. “She asked where I wanted her to meet me? That’s like, the opposite of the power move I was expecting.”
“No,” Tammy squeaked, sounding nervous. “She suggested it. You’re meeting her there.”
“But that’s my spot.”
“Apparently, it’s hers.”
Debbie was livid walking into the restaurant, eyes scanning around for whoever this woman could be. Nine Ball hadn’t been helpful in terms of hints and truths, only giving Tammy bare minimum information and that Lou was willing to meet. The rest was up to Debbie.
And there she was. Hiding in plain sight in the last place Debbie would’ve chosen to look. Her favorite table. Right by the front. The perfect window view.
“Well, you must be the famous Debbie Ocean,” the blonde smirked, looking up at the brunette with her elbow propped up on the table, like she was teasing her.
Debbie found herself having to compose her face as her heart raced and her eyes tried to peek at the woman’s smart suit, and sunglasses-covered eyes.
“Take a seat,” Lou gestured across from her as she took of her sunglasses, tucking them into her shirt, allowing Debbie more than her fair share a view of cleavage and sparkling chains, the brunette looking away quickly only to be distracted by the bluest eyes she’d ever seen.
“This is my table,” Debbie cleared her throat.
“You can’t own a table in a restaurant. Next you’ll be telling me that this is your city,” Lou grinned. “Am I right?”
Debbie didn’t answer her, offering her a sour look instead.
“Did you want to order something? I’m happy to share too,” the blonde smiled, gesturing to the two plates in front of her stacked high with food.
“Not hungry,” Debbie lied, the growl of her stomach betraying her stubbornness and appetite.
“Right,” Lou scoffed. “So why are you here then, Debbie? Let me guess, actually. I need to fuck off and get out of your city, right? Oh, and you’ll be telling me not to head back to Vegas because that’s your brother’s stomping ground.”
“You can’t just go and—“
“But I did,” Lou chuckled. “You’re just upset that I’m succeeding.”
“What was wrong with Australia?” Debbie tried.
“I got bored,” the blonde shrugged. “You know how it goes. Call it the American dream or whatever.”
“Robbing people is the American dream?” Debbie snorted.
“It’s yours,” Lou smirked.
“Look, do what you want when it comes to pickpocketing. But your crew needs to ease up and head out of town. I have things covered here.”
“Doesn’t really seem like you do,” Lou hummed. “Things are different now. You need some fresh meat on that crew of yours. Some parts still work, sure. But my girls have a leg up.”
“You’re absurd,” Debbie rolled her eyes.
“How about this? We pick a job. We both go for it. Best con wins. You pull this off, you’ll never see me again. Or you do. Your choice. But I won’t bother you again. I pull this off? You date me.”
“You mean work with you,” Debbie stuttered.
“Is that what I said?” Lou winked.
“You’re not as charming as you think you are,” the brunette huffed.
“You’re right,” lou nodded. “I’m even more suave than I give myself credit for.”
“That’s not what—“
“The choice is yours, Debbie Ocean,” she grinned, slipping her sunglasses back on as she threw a stack of cash on the table. “But we both know you can’t say no to a challenge. Especially one that could definitely end in hot, mind blowing sex.”

How to replace kingpins (a warning to all van owners why you should grease your kingpins!).
Materials used:
2 x new kingpins £35 each from Euro Car Parts
Grease gun £6.27 from eBay
Tub of lithium based grease
6T Hydraulic press £47.95 from eBay
Total cost:
£124.22
We’ve been told by many LDV owners that the one thing you should do to keep your van going is regularly grease your kingpins. And what did we do? We didn’t grease our kingpins. As a result this was a massive great fail on our MOT, leading to the truly horrible job of replacing both the kingpins altogether.
We paid £35 per kingpin, and £47 for a hydraulic press from eBay which was the cheapest method we could find: doing it ourselves, as the garage wanted £400+ for the job!
The first step: dismantling the entire front axle. We jacked the van up and made it super secure with axle stands underneath the gearbox mounts and tree stumps under the front crossmember as a backup. Off came the wheels, off came the calipers, brake discs and hubs with our broken ABS sensors; off came our shock absorbers, steering arm, then the four U-clamps holding the leaf spring to the axle. A few taps with a hammer and bang, off it came, its weight supported by the jack we’d slid underneath.
The hydraulic press made removing the kingpins a doddle, and in them we found, among other things, a pair of greased pennies and a handful of needle bearings. Things that most definitely do not belong in a kingpin. Someone had clearly been here before us and bodged the job.
We cleaned up the axle with a wire brush, slapped in a load of grease and pressed the new kingpins into their hubs. Voila! The final step was to reattach the axle, then, using a grease gun, did what we should have been doing from day one: filling the kingpin up with grease to keep out dirt and keep it running smooth, using the grease nipples on top and underneath.
This was a heavy duty nightmare of a job, and one that should only be attempted as a last resort. So here’s your daily reminder: grease your bloody kingpins!
