Lessons that demons have taught me:

• You deserve to ask for more than just the bare minimum

• You shouldn't feel guilty for pleasure

• Don't beg for what you want, take it

• Blind trust in what people tell you is foolish, always look deeper. Actions speak louder than words

This is based on a conversation I had with Lucifer a while ago. I didn't share it because I wasn't sure if it had any real basis but I am super curious as to if anyone else shares this experience. 

This was conversation was specifically about spiritual "age" and how/if different deities/spirits can be different ages 'psychologically'.

"“Do you think my spirit is young?” I asked. And he wrinkled his brow at me.

“Elaborate,” he said.

“You mentioned once that some human souls existed before they incarnated as mortals. So how old is my soul?” I asked.

He shuffled over to the counter to brew himself some more coffee. He was thinking to himself.

“Your soul is as old as the energy that composes the universe is,” he said carefully, “your awareness of yourself as Shi is 22 years old.”

Hm.

“Are there any spirits that you work with that actually present themselves or mentally operate as children?” I asked on. He looked back at me again with a furrow in his brow.

“When you say spirits, are you referring to elementals and lesser spirits, or intelligent beings and gods?”

“The former” I replied. “Spirits like you. Is it natural for any spirit like yourself to remain eternally children?”

He then raised his eyebrows like he found the question interesting.

“I suppose I would consider Lord Paimon to be a child - of sorts- of mine, as he is submissive and obedient to me. And Paimon is, compared to many rest of us, a more infantile spirit, I suppose. He is never alone, he is always escorted by supporting spirits and ushered by his dromedary, who is one of his protectors. He is rarely involved in workings directly himself, but rather, usually, one of his caretakers acts on his behalf.” He said.

“Wait really?” I asked. “Paimon is a child?”

He made a sound like disapproval. “It’s not entirely accurate to say he is a child. He is very intelligent, but you could say he is younger than myself and many other demons. The face of Paimon that responds to “Paimon” and is submissive to me, is - in some ways- a… rawer and younger emanation of Azazel’s energy. It's theorized that Paimon was “born” as another aspect of Azazel’s current, but that is something you would have to ask them directly,” he went on.

“Hold on,” I said, because this was blowing my mind. I’ve heard something like this mentioned in occult literature before, but not so directly. “So Paimon and Azazel are the same entity?”

“No,” he replied, “that’s an oversimplification. It would be more accurate to say Paimon and Azazel share a common ancestor. They vary greatly in personality and energetic quality, you would not be talking to the same “person” if you summoned either. Related but not the same.”

“So… why is Paimon considered to be younger? What makes him that way?” I asked.

And Lucifer just kinda shrugged. “His energy just happens to manifest in a more juvenile way. He isn’t at all childish, he’s actually quite stoic. He just requires a lot of support from his secondary spirits in the way a child may rely on their protectors for stability. Paimon is simply never alone and has tens of thousands of spirits constantly tending to him.”

“That’s interesting,” I said. “Does he actually manifest to practitioners as a child?”

Lucifer poured himself more coffee. “I couldn’t say, but I imagine he does not. I don’t think he would be inclined to appear to a human summoning him as a child. He seems to always be somewhat ambiguous and androgynous. Perhaps he appears younger to those he is more comfortable with."

Hm. “It’s interesting that spirits can have different spiritual ages like that,” I said. And he shrugged again.

“I told you once that I see myself as being around 43 years old,” he went on, “but that only really applies to this specific face of me that you access. “Lucifer” is not universally mentally 43 years old, that is just a common form I tend to take with people like you. Paimon on the other hand is less susceptible to human perception than I. He tends to appear pretty consistently, stubborn in that way. He doesn’t exactly correspond to a set human adjacent age, so he tends to manifest as something that appears very neutral. Not too old, not too young.”

Hm.

“Do you love Paimon like a son?” I asked. And he let out a laugh.

“I suppose,” he said in a tone like he found the question ridiculous.

“Well you said you consider him to be a child of yours,” I said.

He shrugged again. “He is a good companion of mine, trustworthy and loyal. But I do not directly tend to him, so in that way, I wouldn’t exactly be his “parent”, more like… his boss. In terms of love, I hold positive sentiment towards him. But I would not at all place him in the same category as you or any mortal I have taken under my wing.”

Yeah that makes sense.

“Hypothetically,” I started, not even entirely sure where I was going. “If Paimon one day called you dad or idk, asked you to comb his hair, how would you react?”

He sipped his coffee and stared at me. A smile slowly crept onto his face we he thought about it.

“I would laugh,” he said. “But if he asked me to do something for him I would probably do it. Uh-,” he sort of stammered. “In terms of… tenderness, I would have no real reason to react negatively to that. But it would be extremely abnormal.”

So I personally have never summoned or worked with Paimon so I couldn't confirm that myself. I looked more into some of the claims (Adramelin and Agrippa drew some connections in a couple grimoires) but kept them to myself because I wasn't sure and didn't wanna spread misinformation.

But I saw this post today on Reddit and it has me wondering again.

The thing I've thought a lot about is how Paimon is always described as a young man with a woman's face riding atop a dromedary. "A woman's face" and a pre-pubescent face can look very similar.

So looking into Paimon (the demon lore) is interesting because it’s stated the following:

He was a fallen angel

He’s Lucifer’s most loyal/obedient servant

Hell it even says Paimon was captivated by Lucifer, particularly his singing and would often try to play his musical instruments to match his tune.

Lucifer, while impressed, regardless did not pay that much attention to Paiman due to his pride but Paimon remained loyal.

As a result of being captivated by Lucifer's power, beauty, and mind he was unsurprisingly on Lucifer's side during the War in Heaven, only to be defeated by the angel Haziel.

Because of his loyalty and overall usefulness to Lucifer, Paimon was elected a king of Hell and joined the musical choir of Hell that sings Lucifer's glory.

Paimon is also said to behave much like a traditional genie where he would grant the conjurer a wish but the conjurer in question must be specific in their wish for Paimon could easily twist the order.

Paimon having the BIGGEST one-sided crush on Lucifer though 🤣

What would that ship name even be called? AppleOwl? TwoKings? LuciPai? DevilsCourt? DaddyKings?

I’m just throwing ideas out there. If there is an official ship for these PLEASE tell me the name. I’d love to know.
