Virtue

Much like with love, the virtues of kindness and compassion. Go far beyond the emotions they invoke, for it is a choice that I constantly make.
It is not always a well lit path, the forest not always scenic. There are thunderstorms and sunshine, sometimes the birds don’t sing at all.
Its a winding sometimes treacherous road, I carry sword, daggers and shield. For a lot of the time I have come to find, myself in unexpected battle.
There have been days I can say, where I have wished to toss aside this cause. To walk away from the choice I made, hardening my heart to stone.
Though I always find that I turn back, picking abandoned weapons from the ground. Because I have experienced personally, the difference they both can make.
It takes a great deal of courage, bravery and strength. To stand with your back to cruelty, offering its victims a hand. I have been on this road many years, though I can say I have only began recently to see. That though I may kind and compassionate, does not mean I am weak.
Karma. When I think about Karma, there's always one saying that pops into my head. "Kindness is weakness". People think that being kind in general is a sign of weakness. Being a good hearted person most of the time gives others the impression that they can walk all over you. Once they have that impression its up them if theyre gonna take you for granted or not. But always keep in mind that it's up to YOU to decipher their intentions. The mistake that most people make regarding Karma, is thinking that it's solely "Bad Karma". In reality, Karma is Balance. It is both good and bad, meaning its 50/50. If you do good the universe will reward you accordingly and vice versa. It will always keep in balance, not always at the time you want it but it will come in mysterious ways in unexpected moments. We just dont realise this because often it just flies out of our minds and then completely forget about it. Always be kind and the blessings will over flow. Karma will take care of you. But if ever someone wants to go against Karma, pls let me know.
