Illumi

You’d tried to hide the pregnancy test, but the Zoldyck’s army of servants were thorough. So, when Illumi found out that you were pregnant, he was pleased. Not excited, no. Such a strong emotion was useless to him even in this situation. Though, he was pleased to know he’d have an heir. Even if Killua never returned to the family, or never let any future children near them, at least Illumi, as the eldest child of the family, had continued on the lineage.

In contrast, when he went to congratulate you on the good news, he could tell from the muffled sobs through the door of the bedroom you shared with him that you didn’t share his opinion. Which...he left you to without a sign of his presence.

Why? He didn’t really know. He’d married you due to your family’s skill and aptitude with Nen, so it wasn’t as if either of you had much love between you. And, you’d made no mystery of how you hadn’t worked to build that love either. Yet, as cold as Illumi was, and how all of his affections to you were nothing but the necessities of his title, he’d left you to your tears with no punishment or anger.

Perhaps all of those cold hugs and bouquets had planted a seed in him.

Hisoka

The pink-haired man hummed as he thought back to the plastic stick that he’d spotted in the bathroom trash. To be fair to them,He mused as he strolled out to rejoin his lover in the bed where they laid asleep. Maybe it was a friend’s, and considering how little I’m here, if they are pregnant, it’s probably not mine.And with that thought, he settled back into bed and put his arms behind his head. His pale yellow eyes stuck on the bedroom ceiling.

Yet, he didn’t go to sleep. Instead, Hisoka laid there and continued to think back to the two lines on the pregnancy test he’d found. Questions in his head regardless of his initial dismissal. Why would they leave the trash in there if it was a friend? Did a friend take a pregnancy test without telling them? Was I somehow meant to spot it? It was somewhat close to the top, and I’d think if they didn’t want me to know, it’d at least be buried. What if it is my kid? Do I want a kid?

After about ten minutes of the lazy nightly soundtrack, Hisoka ran his hand down his face and pinched the bridge of his nose as he made a decision. No. Absolutely not. God, being tied down with a child? Absolutely not. Children are just too boring. Yet, at the same time, another part of him offered, But, the strength a child of mine could have would be interesting… But, he shook his head. No. Too long of a wait. Too GROSS of a wait. If the child is mine, it has to go.
