Oh my gosh thank you!! It’s pronounced like Amy, the e is silent. You’re not the only one confused by it, believe me.
Plenty of people call me Am-ye though (and occasionally, memorably, Am-ye West). It’s become a nickname at this point. I definitely read my own name as Am-ye sometimes too, so whichever one you like better is really okay by me 😊
