Talking about my 30 favourite manga in 30 days
Day 12: Today I'm talking about Kiichi! and Kiichi VS by Hideki Arai. Both mangas follow the life of the young Kiichi as he becomes a revolutionary figure. From the start he was said to become a man of unparalleled virility and thats completely true. From the beginning of his life to the end o Kiichi VS he always did what he considered right no matter the consequences. He's is like the fist of justice he believes the same things as most people but what separates him from the rest is that he acts upon them.
That why's Kiichi + VS is such a beautiful story, you have a person that challenges all authority and wants to try and actually make a real change in the world. The thing is even if he want to change how the world works he cannot do it without the people standing by his side. To Kiichi it seems that people blindly follow him because he says pretty words and he has charisma. Kiichi doesn't want that because then how is he any different from the politicians he despises, he wants people to truly act on their beliefs. He doesn't seem to move the older generation thought thats why he puts his hopes on the new generation, the kids. He makes the children challenge the adults on why they have let the world be like this.
I could probably talk about Kiichi more but Im going to stop here. This story shows that alone nobody can change the world but if the people unite they're an unstoppable force. It also shows that people have been desensitized and seek a saviour to fix everything while doing nothing themselves. People have to stand for something in their lifetime.
Anyways here are some panels I liked
