You sit on the deck, watching the ocean. The salty wind plays with your hair, and for once, you feel at peace. Heat sits nearby, fixing his weapons. Wire leans against a crate, quiet as usual. Killer sharpens his blades, the steady sound of metal against stone filling the air. And Kid? He’s yelling at some poor crewmember for messing up something in the engine room.

You take a deep breath. This is the closest thing to home you’ve ever had.

“I feel safe here” you say without thinking.

Silence.

The sound of Killer’s blade pauses. Heat’s hands still. Wire actually lifts his head. And Kid? Well, Kid turns so fast you think he might snap his own neck.

“The hell did you just say?” Kid asks, stomping toward you.

You blink “I said I feel safe here.”

Kid stares at you like you just grew a second head “Safe? With us?” he asks as he gestures wildly “We’re pirates! We kill people! We steal! We fight the Marines and the damn Emperors! How the hell is that safe?!”

You shrug “I’ve lived a life where trust meant death. Where every second was a fight to survive. And yet, with you guys, I don’t feel like I have to watch my back all the time.”

Kid looks completely lost. He crosses his arms, grumbling “That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.”

“You’re just bad with emotions” Heat says, smirking.

“Shut up, Heat!”

Heat chuckles before looking at you “You really mean that?”

You nod “Yeah. I know we fight and kill, but… it’s different. I don’t feel alone.”

Wire exhales, running a hand through his hair “Tch. Can’t believe anyone would feel safe around us. We’re... monsters.”

“Not to me” you say simply.

Killer, who has been silent, finally speaks “You trust us.”

You meet his gaze “Yeah, I do.”

He tilts his head, studying you for a long moment. Then, he nods “Good.”

Kid groans “You’re all too soft.”

“Maybe,” Heat says, grinning “But at least we’re not in denial like you.”

“I AM NOT—!”

You laugh, and to your surprise, Killer chuckles too. Even Wire smirks. The tension fades, and the conversation shifts, but something lingers in the air, something unspoken but understood.

They won’t say it outright. Not in words. But you know. They feel it too.

You are safe here.

Not because the world is less dangerous.

But because you are not alone anymore.

Days pass, but the words stay in your mind. The crew still fights, still raids, still risks their lives every day, but something in their eyes has changed when they look at you. There’s an understanding now. A silent promise.

One evening, after a long battle at sea, you sit beside Killer, your back against the ship’s railing. He’s quiet, as usual, but you don’t mind. The silence between you is comfortable.

“You’re really not scared of us at all?” he finally asks.

You shake your head “No. Not anymore.”

He hums in response. Then, after a pause, he says “If you ever feel different… if you ever feel unsafe… tell me.”

You smile “I will.”

Across the deck, Kid watches you both, his expression unreadable. Wire mutters something under his breath, and Heat just grins. It’s a strange family, but it’s yours.

And for the first time in your life, you don’t feel alone.

Another storm rolls in one night, violent waves crashing against the hull. The ship rocks dangerously, and the crew scrambles to secure everything. You’re drenched, holding onto the railing as the wind howls.

Kid barks orders, his voice barely audible over the storm “Tie down the sails! Secure the cargo!”

You move to help, but a massive wave sends you staggering. A strong hand grabs your wrist, Killer. He pulls you upright, nodding “Stay close.”

Through the chaos, you realize something... no one is afraid. The crew works together, trusting each other completely. Despite the danger, there’s no panic. Just confidence.

When the storm finally passes, the crew collapses on the deck, exhausted but victorious. You sit beside Heat, breathing hard.

“You alright?” he asks, glancing at you.

You nod “Yeah. That was… intense.”

He grins “Storms happen. We get through them.”

Wire chuckles, running a hand through his wet hair “You held up well.”

Killer sits nearby, quietly cleaning his weapons. Kid crosses his arms, looking at the sea. Then, he glances at you “Still feel safe?”

You meet his gaze “Yeah.”

A beat of silence. Then, Kid smirks “Good.”

Nami Fame, wealth, power! Some say that’s just for the Pirate king, but Nami would disagree, Nami has everything she’s ever wanted. She sends back loads of money to her home island which have repaired all the damage that the Arlong Pirates ever did. They become a thriving community. She even makes sure there is a lovely orphanage, in memory of Bellmere with orange trees all around where young women can grow and learn skills and become strong and anything they want to be. Nami gets her short hair back.

Robin and Franky Together, but not married. Neither wants to get a piece of government-approved paperwork to say they are married. Robin can piece together all the mysteries of the world, the void century is her’s and she passed on everything she can to her students. She makes sure the next generation of the world will remember everything that happened both good and bad and as long as there are people alive who know what happened, who have seen the devil and god history can avoid repeating itself. Robin has her bangs back, and wears her long, long hair in a braid. 

Franky becomes a teacher himself! He passes on the amazing shipwright skills he learned from Tom to anyone who wants to come and learn from him. Both are a blessing to the generations after. Maybe Franky has toned down his look a little and he’s more like he was in pre-skip? 

Brook Still a hecken popular musician who is going around touring, loved by many, and as long as his music keeps touching people's hearts and he always has fans, he won’t ever truly be alone. He obviously reunites with Laboon too!

Jinbei Retired, living his best life back at Fishman Island, and has a spouse now. He keeps an eye on Fishman island though there is nothing but peace. After all the island and his people are protected by the pirate king himself.

Usopp Usopp goes off and becomes a pirate captain himself! But it doesn’t last very long, it’s just not the same so he retires and goes into writing books. He writes stories of all his fantastic adventures and inspires the hearts and minds of many young people who all want to be pirates. He also takes up art as a more serious profession. He writes and does his own artwork. Usopp’s Fables. Maybe he goes back to his village, him being a famous writer brings good things for the sleepy village.

Chopper Goes back to DRUM and helps the people, bringing back doctors to the island. DRUM once again becomes well known for how amazing its doctors are. He’s a good teacher for those wanting to be in the medical field.

Luffy THE PIRATE KING HIMSELF? Every night is still a party, he only settles down when the last of his crew wants to seek their own fortunes. He visits them all. Spending his time traveling between them and going on adventures. He never truly settles down. Just married to his love of life. 

Law Still a pirate, still with his crew because they are and always will be his family. He did everything he set out to do, take people down, and get revenge, he didn’t ever see his life past Dressrosa to start with so everything is a bonus. The only difference is now the heart pirates have less of a reputation for their captain being scary and cruel but the best place to take anyone with a rare illness. He specializes in learning about them and healing them. Totally rocking more tattoos everywhere and a ponytail maybe. Or an undercut…

Kid IGNORING CANON Him and his crew are still an issue for the world government, even in their 30s, 40s, hell even when they're 70 they are wild and causing chaos all across the world. Kid loses his violent streak and is just out here with his boys having the time of his life. Maybe he has a partner or two, he and Killer going polyam at last.

Marco Marco even at like 80 still looks younger, still a doctor on Sphinx but this time he’s not so honour bound to the memory of Whtiebeard and Ace. He sometimes leaves the island to go on adventures. He visits his partners, finally allowing himself to date again. He becomes a vet as well as a doctor, helping out people on islands he visits while seeing his partners. He’s enjoying his retirement, he has so many people in his life again that it heals his heart. Still, he aches for everything he’s lost, he always will but now he’s not shackled by it.

Sabo Thanks to his efforts and the RA the world is a more equal place, he makes sure of it. Aside from all of that. Maybe Sabo has a partner, maybe he’s allowed himself to have a few kids that he raises to be good and just and to never see the world as black and white but all the greys that the world is built up of. Making sure the next generation has a strong sense of their own justice. Sabo also wrote a huge book documenting Luffy’s travels after listening to his brother tell the stories over and over. The book becomes the legend of the Pirate King. The story inspires another era of pirates.

🌷Who Wakes up first in the morning:🌷  His S/O does, Kidd is the type to sleep in. Killer is running the ship while he rests. He isn’t lazy he just enjoys sleeping in and cuddling close with his S/O he is a big guy and he loves wrapping his body around his S/O’s small frame and taking in their warmth on a cold day. Sometimes it is a little suffocating, but it feels amazing on cold days, and on hot days it is hard to breathe, but he is just looking for comfort.

🌷Who’s the first to fall asleep at night:🌷 It depends he works hard on his ship maintaining and making sure his crew is protected and they are sailing in the right direction. He cares about his crew and his goal to reach the OnePiece, on hard days he falls asleep first. A hard battle, a difficult storm that had passed, he will be the first to fall asleep early. But on calmer nights or nights the crew is celebrating he will be the last to fall asleep. He is taking in the calm atmosphere and holding his S/O close in his arms. He needs his S/O in his arms to sleep better and will not let them sleep without him even when they are mad.

🌷What they playfully tease each other over:🌷  Almost anything, he is a fan of teasing his S/O he loves seeing their cheeks red. He will be a bit more sexual, trying to get a rile out of his lover. But of course, he is into soft teasing then making comments on how cute they look together or joking about marriage. Something he never thought about till he met his S/O but that is a long way away. His S/O depending on could be just as sexual just to get a rise out of him, petting his leg during important business conversations or whispering sexual things. It would get him more excited and his arms around their waist. If not sexual just soft teasing on trying to get him to eat food, he doesn’t like or admit embarrassing things.

🌷What they do when the other’s having a bad day:🌷  Kid is simple he would want a drink and a good cuddle from his S/O bring him some sake and a large enough blanket. He will hold on to his S/O and take in their warm temperature and love the feeling of their body next to his. He probably wouldn’t share about his day but instead ask about his S/O’s day Hearing about it distraction when he feels more comfortable, he will share what bugged him throughout the day. For S/O he is willing to do anything for his S/O as well as his crew helping them through their bad day. If it was someone that was bothering his S/O he is more than willing to bring that person and have them begging for forgiveness.

🌷How they say ‘I’m sorry after arguments: 🌷 Kid isn’t one to say sorry, and apologizing is difficult for him. He is always right, but chances he does wrong, he does hurt his S/O. He will spend most of his day grumbling before he misses his S/O’s presence before he brings them random flowers or chocolate, or he will crawl into bed with his S/O and pretend nothing happened. If it is really bad, he will apologize under his breath while grumbling.

🌷Which one’s more ticklish:🌷  His S/O is more ticklish than him, he loves brushing his finger on his S/O skin and seeing them squirm in his arms. He will gently brush his fingers on where they are most sensitive and feel the goosebumps on their skin and leave light kisses on their neck just to have them squirm in their arms if they make a little sound that is a plus.

🌷Their favorite rainy day activities:🌷 Cuddling, he wouldn’t admit but he loves cuddling his S/O his giant frame wrapping around his S/O while they listen to the rain outside. He gets great pleasure in hearing his S/O talk about their day. He is sensitive to the cold so he wouldn’t really want to do many things out outside with his S/O. If his S/O is reading he is reading over their shoulders, or they are watching a movie together. He just loves holding his S/O on those cold rainy days and doing nothing.

🌷How they surprise each other:🌷  Kid doesn’t like surprises but surprising his S/O is another story. He will plan romantic dates as he isn’t the most romantic person. It is once in a blue moon where he will surprise his S/O by being less brash and taking them out for a romantic date. But other than that, he would surprise them by less aggressive towards a suiter who was eyeing his S/O or being kinder to people that pissed him off. He would be trying to work on himself a bit but not too much.

🌷Their most sickening show of public affection:🌷 Kid isn’t too shy with public affection and will grab his S/O’s hips whenever he feels threatened by another person. He will rub circles on their body or exposed skin to show off that he owns his S/O and is in control. It gets annoying during meetings with his crew he will have S/O on his lap petting their leg while his S/O plays with his hair. Or petting trying to get away. Sexual comments will escape his lips and what he wishes to do with his S/O when alone. He doesn’t care who is around to hear. He has no filter.
