46 Years of Trishul (05/05/1978).

Directed by the legendary Yash Chopra and written by the dynamic duo Salim-Javed, Trishul features an impressive cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjeev Kumar, Shashi Kapoor, Raakhee, Hema Malini, Prem Chopra, Iftekhar, Poonam Dhillon, Sachin (in their acting debuts), Gita Siddharth, and Waheeda Rehman.

Trishul went on to become the second-highest-grossing Indian film of 1978, just behind the blockbuster Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, which also starred Amitabh Bachchan and Raakhee.

Tum apna ranj-O-gham Apni pareshaani mujhey de do

(Give me all your sorrow and grief, Give it to me your troubles)

تمہیں غم کی قسم اس دل کی ویرانی مجھے دے دو

Tumhein gham kii qasam Is dil ki viiraani mujhey de do

(I swear on your worries, pass on to me loneliness of your heart)

یہ مانا میں کسی قابل نہیں ان نگا ہوں میں

Yeh mana Main kisi qabil nahi hun in nigahon mein

(I know I have no worth in your eyes)

برا کیا ہے اگر یہ دکھ یہ حیرانی مجھے دے دو

Bura kya hai agar.. Ye dukh Ye heiraani mujhey de do

(It won’t be bad if you share with me your grief and anguish)

میں دیکھوں تو سہی دنیا تمہیں کیسے ستاتی ہے

Main dekhun to sahi duniya tumhein kaise satati hai

(Let me see how this world would tease you)

کوئی دن کے لیے اپنی نگہبانی مجھے دے دو

Koi Din Ke Liye Apni Nigahbani Mujhe De do

(for a few days, give yourself into my safekeeping)

وہ دل جو میں نے مانگا تھا مگر غیروں نے پایا تھا

Woh dil jo Main ne manga tha magar ghairon ne paya tha

(the heart which I begged, but the some other got it)

بڑی شے ھے اگر اس کی پشیمانی مجھے دے دو

Badi shay hai agar us ki pashemani mujhe de do

(It would be a great gift for me if you could give its anxiety)

Just remember two main rules for the beginning:

You better starve, than eat whatever

And better be alone, than with whoever.”
