Sheās still learning about the other members of the circus; who she can trust, who she can care for, who can care for her. Itās terrifying and lonely to find yourself trapped in some video game world with no hope of escape but not knowing if you can trust the people around you makes it all the more difficult. But sheās learning to care about the other members of the circus. Sheās learning to care about you.
You become something like a lifeline. Sheāll be okay as long as youāre okay. But that also means that if anything ever happened to you, Pomni isnāt sure what she would do. Sheās sometimes haunted by thoughts of you abstracting; your polygons shifting and distorting until you are an unrecognizable monster that has to be banished to the darkness. She tries not to think about it too much. But if her grip on your hand is a little tighter than it should be, itās just because sheās afraid of what might happen to both of you if she lets go.
Gangle is often too shy to even talk to you, but she spends a lot of her free time quietly sketching in the same room as you, completely minding her business. You never seem to mind her presence; perhaps you take comfort in the quiet companionship. Itās nice to know youāre not alone even when you donāt have the energy to have a conversation.
If you saw Gangleās sketchbook you would see that itās filled with drawings of you. Usually your avatar as it appears in the circus; occasionally as what she imagines you might look like in the real world. Sheās shown you a picture or two sheās drawn of you and she felt heat rise in both the comedy and tragedy masks when you complimented her art. Still, sheād die from embarrassment if you found out her sketchbook is full of pictures of nothing but you.
One time Jax caught her drawing lewd pictures of you making an ahegao face and he likes to keep that little dirty secret in his back pocket so he can dangle the threat of telling you any time he thinks you and Gangle are getting a little too chummy.
Jax flip flops between bullying you and trying to get you to let loose. Youāre a bunch of cartoon characters living in a cartoon world where everything is fake and nothing matters. Arenāt you tired of being nice? Donāt you just want to go ape shit? Part of the reason he antagonizes you is because he wants to see what youāll do when youāre angry and reach your breaking point.

Ragatha genuinely feels kind of bad for you. You never asked to be the center of attention. Never asked to be the object of affection for a group of people who have been outside their own bodies for so long that they have to struggle to keep their sanity every day. Itās a cocktail of sympathy and pity and duty that has her checking in on you. If you need a shoulder to cry on or an ear to vent to or a pair of arms to hold you, she can be that for you.
And thatās how it starts for her.
Ragatha had only intended to be a support system for you out of the goodness of her heart, but somewhere down the line the wires get crossed and the feelings get muddled and she depends on you relying on her as much as you depend on her for emotional support. You make her feel needed and important until she is completely dependent on the feeling of you depending on her.
Zooble is one of the most down to earth members of the circus and you enjoy talking to them. When they arenāt pissed off about Ajaxās bullshit or whatever asinine adventure youāre all forced to participate in, their dry sense of humor and overall chill vibes are something of a comfort. Itās nice to have someone to talk to who doesnāt sugarcoat the bullshit or try to make you look at the brighter sides of things. Itās nice to know that you can go to them if you just want to vent and take a moment to process how miserable you are.
In this way, Zooble has seen a side of you that you havenāt shown to most others, and they cherish the gift of your vulnerability. The world around you is fake but the human connection between the two of you is so real. Zooble would have liked to have known who you were before the circus. You seem like someone who would be fun to get high with, have a few beers with, share a pizza while watching bad TV and occasionally making out during the commercials.
Zooble suspects their feelings for you are one-sided; they know you like them but likely not to the extent that they like you. Theyāre okay like that as long as they can still be around you, even if it makes them miserable sometimes to keep those feelings to themselves. But they can accept not being with you as long as you donāt end up with Jax.
Kinger is one of the easiest to handle. He behaves the same around you as he does everyone else. Well, for the most part.
Sometimes, in rare moments when Kingerās eyes lose their dull glaze, pupils dilated in the dark and gaze focused on you. Heās calm. Stable, even. But thereās something about the way that he looks at you that makes you feel uneasy. But then Jax snatches Gangleās comedy mask and tosses it towardās Kingerās pillow fort hard enough to knock it down (and sends Gangleās mask crashing to the floor, splitting in two) and Kinger is back to his abnormal self.
Zooble and Gangle are the only ones who get along well enough to agree to join forces and share you. They like each other and their chances double if they work together. Zooble is often the one who invites you to hang out with them and you always appreciate the invitation.
Jax and Zooble are the ones fighting in the Spudsyās parking lot. Zooble strangling Jax until he pulls of one of their arms to smack them. THEN GANGLE COMES IN WITH THE STEEL CHAIR!!!!!!!
As for Caine, wellā¦ you donāt really know what to think of Caine.
Heās not the one who brought you into the digital circus and, as far as you know, he isnāt the reason you canāt leave. Heās not human but he experiences simulated emotions that are indistinguishable from the emotions you and the other members of the circus experience so heās as alive in this world as you are.
You try to be understanding and polite to him. Itās not out of the kindness of your heart; you know he has more control of the world and its surroundings than you do. While youāve never seen him get angry, that doesnāt mean he isnāt capable of it. His inhumanity can make him unintentionally cruel. Youāre terrified of the ways he could hurt you if he really wanted to.
Thankfully, Caine seems oblivious to your cautious fear of him. He sees a nice polite human who doesnāt complain about his adventures. Maybe you even like him?! Wowie! He loves humans so much and itās his one purpose in life to make fun adventures for them so itās nice to finally have someone that appreciates all his hard work! Why, if he ever thought that you didnāt like his adventures and that you were actually scared of him? Who knows what would happen!
I also feel like Sundrop would demand to give cuddles and attentive aftercare, whereas Moondrop wants nothing more than to make you his naughty bitch. Yandere or not: these two would have to work out a system with each other so both of them can be with darling like they want. But Sundrop only wants them after a really harsh session where they can wipe away those tears, and Moondrop is more than happy to make you sob.
I like to think that his darling and im are both horrible. Since you're human, he enjoys watching you be aware of your mortality. You enjoy having both of them but they can also become so exhausting after a while. Moondrop literally torments you by hunting you down and Sundrop hates not touching you. When you both have sex, they switch a lot. One moment Sundrop is holding you gently and the Moondrop pops in and fucks you like you were nothing but a dispensable toy.

I visualize them! Usually I have the dialogue for complex scenes in mind first because thatās where I stick a lot of my characterization! And then I layer and layer them until theyāre complete.
