Acquisition of Wayfarer’s Rest
Keniestus Woodrunner slowly blinked his eyes open, regretting his last few shots he’d had the night before.
“Gods. What did I do last night?” He asked himself.
He slowly pulled himself out of the bed, perhaps taking a minute or two longer than was expected. He began rummaging around the room, pushing through the piles of god knows what scattered about his room. After a few long moments, he pulled a small leather bound journal from beneath a pile of clothes and sat up on the bed, rubbing his eyes as he flipped through the journal.Â
“Northrend today?” He let out a deep sigh. “Alright.” He looks over to Remus, his elderly Springpaw, relaxing on the rug in the center of the room.
“We’ve got some shopping to do, bud.”Â
Key slowly stood up from the bed, stretching and letting his bones crackle as he reached his arms up to the ceiling.Â
He looked down to his feet, “I’ll certainly need to get shoes, at the very least.” He smirked to himself before pulling a small bag over his shoulder and opening the door. “C’mon, Remus. Let go shopping.”
He exited the room and held the door open for the cat to follow.
Keyniestus and Remus sauntered through the Bazaar, enjoying a few treats they had found along the way, (By which I mean, Key shared his findings with the cat.) They stopped at a few shops, Keyniestus eagerly inquiring about warmer clothing than what he is currently wearing.
After they had browsed through a few shops, they stumbled into a leathers shop. Key approached the woman at the counter, asking her about heavy leathers for a trip up to Northrend. With bright eyes, she pointed him to a section of the shop piled high with thick pelts. Cloaks of every thickness one could want, fur lined boots, and the warmest looking hats Keyniestus had seen in Silvermoon in quite some time.Â
He spent a good hour or so trying on different outfits before settling on a dark blue themed look. He gave the woman the appropriate coin for his findings and threw them over his shoulder, it would be silly to try to walk around Silvermoon in such garb.
He made his way back to Wayfarer’s and back up to his room. He began assembling a small bag full of essentials for his journey up to Northrend, making sure to throw in his newly acquired garb. He cinched up the bag and threw it over his shoulder before making his way out the door and back downstairs. He gave a small nod to the bartender as he made his way outside and towards the portal to Orgrimmar…
Keyniestus returned to Silvermoon late in the night, far past the closing hours of any bar. He groggily made his way to Wayfarer’s Rest, checking his mail on the way. His elven ears perked up when he pulled out a letter from the City. His eyes widened as he read it.Â
“I’ve got the bar!” He screamed, jumping into the air. “We got it! We got it!” He danced to himself by the mailbox before looking around, realizing he was the only one on this deserted street. He blushed and stowed the letter away in his pocket before wandering into Wayfarer’s and up to his room.Â
He threw off all of his gear for the day and crawled into his bed, curling up next to Remus as the cat jumped into the bed. “Remus. We did it. Wayfarer’s is ours.” He smiled to himself, closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep.
