Nat being the one to call a man to rescue them/her from the all-female society (except for her lover) making almost a desperate reach upwards into the sky. The all-female society that Lottie was clinging to, while Lottie was away, underground, in the caves and imagining a omniscient, powerful goddess that would bring her deeper downwards into the gravitational pull of the Wilderness.
