kevin staring at herself in the mirror in the bathroom, tears welling in her eyes because she can’t figure out how to do her hair; she used to always braid it, but she can’t use her broken hand to braid and she swears she plays exy better with her hair in braids but she can’t do them and she’s spiralling again, starting to feel the shattering of the bones in her hand— and then andrew’s there, appearing in the mirror behind her. and andrew hovers her hands over kevin’s sides, staring through the mirror at kevin, who nods her head, knowing how andrew asks to touch but confused as to why she would. And andrew sits kevin down on the toilet seat and runs her fingers through kevin’s hair, asking one or two. and kevin’s so confused like what. but she says 2 and andrew braids her hair, fingers running through it so carefully. and kevin’s tears do fall then, because she hasnt felt someone do this for her since her mum.

it just doesnt compute to me. idc if theres a promise like 2 me EVEN THE PROMISE doesnt make sense if theyre not w a massive head over heels going on underneath. how can you look at them and not think theyre at least in denial. tell me HOW do you look at these two and think this is a straight connection they have nothing with each other .

i love them and this style of dynamic. too bad kev is only a minor character that maybe only shows up once or twice to maybe three times (with him and andrew being long lost friends) in this fic lol.
