Today I have cooked up a delicious bit of wild grouse! These little birds were freshly shot today.
#after gutting and carefully cleaning the birds removed the breasts (really the only big piece of meat on them!) and pan fried them in tallow#and butter. I also added some salt pepper and rosemary with a little vinegar. they were sufficiently cooked to 180 degrees (which is#actually too high) and they taste close to stake! slightly tough but very delicious. this meal is definitely carnivore (technically ketovore#with the spices).#carnivore diet#ketovore#lu’s cooking#grouse#prairie chicken#food photography
