2x 2 mile interval runs
They were slow, but I got them done. Two more weeks of training and a taper left until the race weekend. Time to buckle down and be purposeful with each day.

5k Race with my sis tonight🏃🏼♀️
The course was a bit of a challenge with mostly trail and grass underfoot, which slowed us down a bit. But it was fun! It’s been years since we’ve done a race together.
Hello! First of all, I love your blog!
I wanted to ask if you track macros?
You do so much work with the keto diet and I have a hard time.
What are some of your go to meals?
Thank you so much!! 🤗
Yes, I do track macros. I was staying under 30 carbs per day but when I increased my training a ton, I upped that to 50g. I prioritize hitting my protein goal over any set fat macro. Personally it works for me that way…and ya gotta feed those muscles 😉
Go-to recipes! We do a lot of taco nights with Mission low carb tortillas. Taco salads are also a great option to pack taco leftovers the next day for lunch. Bacon and eggs are a staple because it’s easy and quick (and a favorite of my honey’s). Egg cups or crustless quiche is perfect because you have your base of eggs, cream, and cheese, then add whatever your heart desires. I was craving pizza, so one time I made them with pepperoni, mozzarella, and red pepper flakes. 👌🏻Hit the spot!
Soups are such a great meal prep option! You’d be surprised how filling chicken no-noodle soup is when you pack it full of chicken and veg. Same comforting feeling, too. The other day, I made spicy chicken tortilla soup (no tortilla lol) and it was the best. Just sautéd some garlic, 1 onion, 1 bell pepper, 1-2 chili peppers, 4 jalapeños, and 2 serrano peppers in a pot. Added chicken broth, cooked chicken breast, 1 can of diced tomatoes and let boil. Then add about 4 oz of cream cheese and simmer with salt/pepper until you’re happy with the flavor. Super simple and packed with flavor!
I also recommend finding some good take-out options near you, too, so when you’re less than motivated to cook, you still have decent keto options available to you. For example, a local place here sells their burgers in lettuce wraps instead of buns. There’s a bbq joint that sells brisket by the pound. A favorite steak place of ours delivers, too.
The key is to plan ahead, but have options. That way, you’re more likely to pick something that will keep you on track. If you get off track, don’t be discouraged! You can always hop right back on again. However, it is important to find a dietary lifestyle that works for you. Keto may not be the right fit, and that’s okay, too. ❤️Good luck! Hope this helps!
Glorious Rest Day
I spent some time in the sun today and went for a walk, got some chores done, hydrated plenty, and planned out my week. I also tried a keto method for pizza crust: canned chicken, parmesan cheese, and an egg (and seasoning). It turned out crispy and I was pleasantly surprised. Sadly I was without basil.
Weekend Things
I just adore how the early evening light hits my plants in the window 😌 Also, snake plant has a baby!
I spent some time outside on walks and sun bathing in the yard with an amazing book.
I also succeeded in making keto fish sans chips which were not bad, and I got plenty of snuggles with Thief while watching The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
My goals for this week are to get plenty of sleep, and be intentional with my workout movements. We can’t throw form out the window when we get super tired.

Strength Capacity Thursday
Warm up, grip work, and 40 min AMRAP
AMRAP was: 5x renegade man-makers, 200m run 🏃🏼♀️ Today felt pretty great.
Long Run- Easy Pace
I had terrible sleep the past couple of nights, so today was super hard. My mantra wasn’t motivating me and I just wanted to walk back after 5.5 miles. But, I tried my best to switch off my brain and just let my body move through the last few miles.
It got me there. 💪🏻 Happy Running Day!
Just smashed a burger, and now I’m going straight to bed.
Busy Saturday!
Early this morning, my workout partner and I knocked out our Mini Event:
2 mile run, 20 min AMRAP…times 4x 🥵 It was horribly humid so I’m glad we started earlier.
Then a friend invited me out to go paddle boarding for the first time, and I was so excited! I did fall in the first time I tried to stand up, but I eventually got the hang of it. I had so much fun!
We went to Ala Moana Beach, so had a beautiful view of Diamond Head in the distance. We also saw several turtles swimming around us so that was my day MADE. 🤗
I can’t wait to go again!
