Image descriptions under the cut
[Image IDs: a collection of preview pages for an art book entitled “A Little Growth.” The first three are photos of a print book in front of a bush with white flowers. The rest are clean digital images. Forgive my brief descriptions of the interior pages.
The cover is a brightly colored illustration of a woman and a robot leaning down to look at a potted "Rosa American Pillar" rose the robot is holding, the woman looking cheerful, the robot looking intrigued. The woman is white with light brown hair messily pulled up in a big hair clip, big glasses, and freckles, wearing a baggy shirt that's buttoned unevenly. The robot is yellow-orange and boxy, their head resembling a 1990s Mac computer, their face just two blue "eye" dots on a black screen, their body covered with dents, and their arms long with accordion-like folds. Behind them is a tall hedge covered in more roses. Above them floats the text "A Little Growth: An Art Collection by Rachel Ordway" in a loose handwritten font.
The first photo of the interior shows a comic featuring the same robot and woman. A large illustration where the woman hugs the robot, startling them. Over the next few panels, closeups of the woman and robot as they have a brief conversation—”I was not made to love humans,” the robot says flatly, to which the woman, looking depressed, replies “Me either.”
The second photo of the interior shows a black-and-white illustration of a fantasy hero wielding a large sword and casting a fireball, their feet surrounded by venus flytraps. On the opposite page is a full-color illustration of the cast of Lupin III, posed as if they’re taking a group photo wearing matching shirts, while Zenigata bursts through the background behind them.
The first digital image shows a textured, watercolor-like image of K2-SO and Jyn Erso from Star Wars: Rogue One holding hands.
The second digital image shows a warmly colored illustration of the top of a cluttered wardrobe covered with images of various original characters—photographs, painted images on a vase, a futuristic hologram—in front of a corkboard with other memorabilia pinned to it, and the title “Shaped Like A Friend.”

Messing around with watercolor and lineart brushes in Clip Studio Paint. I really like the lineart tools in Clip Studio Paint, but unfortunately I'm too light-sensitive to justify switching another step of my process over to digital :')  Maybe I'll just play with it on short or simple projects.
K2 is definitely in love with Cassian, but I'm sooo weak for girls x robots...
Bonus Chobits OP version cus I finally realized what this composition (sort of) reminded me of X'D
The elf turned his gaze away, but the upward quirk of his lips betrayed his secret contentment “What’s gotten into you all of a sudden?”
Kerso simply smiled amusedly and so softly, scratching at Roe’s chin teasingly as he hummed “Am I not allowed to feel sentimental every now and then?”
Sooooo...Dee’s been sketching. And feeling. And dying. Of said feelings.

A little pride month sketch I tried to do, but I think it came out a little rough haha. Also tried to get the flags as accurate as possible, but for those who don’t know, from left to right it’s: Genderfluid, Bisexual, Homosexual and Demisexual.
