Tonight I finally got around to sitting down and properly studying something. Over the last three months I’ve mostly been translating songs for practice (about 30 so far, at least), reading blog and insta posts and little blurbs on websites and in magazines, posting a few Hello Talk moments every now and again, and posting comments on my fav J-pop artists’ instagrams. But it’s been a while since I’ve practiced vocab or learned a new grammar rule. I’ve realized again recently that I really need to practice vocab and retain it because lately it’s become a weak area.

I’ve made very few original posts on this tumblr, and decided that this year I’m really going to use it! So after going through all my posts since early 2017 and deleting the vast majority of them, I’m ready to start this blog fresh.

So to start off right, I thought I’d make another introduction post!

Basics:

·        My name is Mackenzie (Kenzie for short).

·        I’m 22. My birthday is July 4th.

·        I’m Canadian, currently living in Canada

·        I have a cat named Shorty, she’s 16. She’s been my best friend since I was 6 years old. I love her so much and she’s perfect and no one can tell me otherwise or I will fight you for real.

Study stuff:

·        I’m studying Japanese and Italian.

·        I’ve been studying Japanese for ten years (yup). Due to it mostly being on and off (mostly on, tho), I’m only around N4… but I’ve had a lot of time for studying over the last few years and so I’m making vast progress now!

·        I just started learning Italian in March 2018, so I’m very beginner level. My family is from Italy (my Papa moved here as a young child), but I never learned Italian growing up despite always having an interest in doing so.

·        I plan on studying Japanese in Japan in the fall of this year.

Interest and Hobbies:

·        I like learning about basically everything, but I especially like science and history, as well as law

·        I love reading!!

·        I love dancing

·        I love music – I listen to J-pop almost exclusively and have for ten years. I love all kinds of music in terms of genre!

·        I love food. Like… really love food.

·        I enjoy crafting! In my blog you’ll see my bullet journal pretty often (or at least I think you will at the time of writing this).

·        I make art – paint, pencil, ink, watercolour… I use lots of different mediums. I sell my art as well.

·        I also enjoy writing but don’t do it as much anymore – too busy with art and life stuff.

·        I love video games – I’m a big Nintendo fan. <3

·        Caaaatttsss

·        Did I mention food? Eating can be a hobby right?

·        I like clothes and fashion

·        Colour: pink (but I love all colours, really)
