because they’ve always been my favorite haikyuu squad <3 

いち -- akaashi, kenma, and kageyama created a sub group in which they labeled the quieter setter squad after being done with the rest of the groups bs. they came back after a few hours but never disbanded the side gc 

に -- they all have nicknames for each other and surprisingly it’s kageyama who uses them the most. everyone else finds it endearing. 

さん -- oikawa and suga often debate over who’s more responsible considering they’re the ‘parents’ of the squad. no one bothers to tell them they all consider semi the real responsible one 

よん -- kageyama introduced atsumu to the squad and despite their complaining about him they’re grateful they met him 

ご -- shirabu and yahaba have a lot of beef that no one knows why it started. all they know is that they will take every available opportunity to insult each other. 

ろく -- oikawa has a soft spot for kags and tends to be a bit of a tsundere about it, so everyone else gives them a nudge in the right direction here and there. 

なな -- the first person to find out about the squad was kuroo. he pops in from time to time whether it be dropping kenma off at meet-ups or saying hello from kenma’s computer. they’re all surprised he’s kept it a secret for so long 

はち -- they like to tease kageyama for being the youngest. kageyama has spiked a volleyball into shirabu’s face for that once. 

く -- they do prank wars every other month. the one with the most points right now is akaashi, mainly because he’s good at sneaking around and keeping a good poker face. oikawa comes in second, with kenma at third. koganegawa is last, because he doesn’t have the heart to pull truly bad pranks and is terrible at lying. 

じゅう -- iwaizumi is suspicious by the fact that kageyama almost accidentally revealed in a match that oikawa liked being praised when he’s not expecting it and thinks they’re dating. oikawa doesn’t know whether to laugh or cry at that and kageyama thinks it’s fun so he continues to encourage the rumor with offhand statements here and there. 

じゅういち -- yahaba encourages kunimi and kindaichi to make up with kageyama for whatever reason. they don’t know why yahaba presses the topic so much. oikawa just smirks in the background and occasionally encourages it too, but pretends like it’s nothing. 

ゅうに -- in conclusion aoba johsai is the closest team to figuring things out, but only because oikawa and yahaba can’t keep their mouthes shut 

じゅうさん -- atsumu, shirabu, and kenma sneak behind the crowd one day to see karasuno play against some other team at nationals. they find oikawa hidden there too and they watch. they’re almost 100% convinced suga spotted them and pointed them out to kageyama, because kageyama spiked a volleyball extremely aggressively ( earning karasuno a service ace ) and looked oikawa straight in the eye. they never talk about the incident ever, though. 

じゅうよん -- semi and akaashi clicked almost instantly, and everyone enjoys them flirting jokingly 

じゅうご -- they have all signed up for a maid cafe before, but then they saw kuroo, bokuto, tsukishima, lev, and hinata outside and ditched as fast as possible, meaning they technically stole the maid dresses they used there. they plan to use them for next halloween. 

- Hinata kicks in his sleep.

Kenma tosses and turn in their sleep a lot.

Because of this Kageyama and Kuroo are actually the ones to sleep in the middle.

- They take in turn planning date night:

Kenma's choice is to have a night in playing games and ordering take out.

Hinata and Kageyama aren't allowed to be on a team together because they get too competitive.

- Kenma loves to sit in his boys laps.

- Kageyama loves to play with all of his boys hair.

- Because Kageyama drinks milk straight from the carton when they go shopping they get him his own.

- kuroo cooks most meals.

The others will try and help the best they can.

But Kuroo and Hinata aren't allowed to be left in the kitchen alone because they are too caotic and then the kitchen ends in a big mess.

I couldn't think of what the others would pick of date night so if you have any thoughts please let me know what you think.

Kageyama always tied on his left shoe first. It was just the latest in a series of observations that Kenma was making, and he didn’t know how to categorize this one. It didn’t quite belong in cute quirks, and it didn’t quite belong in scary athletic tendencies, but was a mixture of both. Kenma snorted angrily to himself and turned back to his phone.

Watching Kageyama had been an intentional choice at first. It was difficult to see him sometimes, next to the blinding light that was Shouyou, but it had only been a matter of time for Kenma to notice the way he stared. He was watching Kenma, and though Kenma knew it was probably entirely volleyball-motivated, he had decided to watch back.

Kageyama had not noticed, but unfortunately, someone else did.

“Soooooo, what did we learn about him today?” Kuro asked, leaning against the wall above Kenma. Kenma elbowed him in the shin, not taking his eyes off his phone.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said.

“Do too.”

“Do not.”

“Right. Because you’ve only been staring at Kageyama-kun like a lioness stalking her prey for, what, three days now?” Kuro’s voice got softer. “You should ask him already. They go home tomorrow.”

“Ask him what.” Kenma said flatly. He knew what Kuro was on about, but he wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction of filling his prompts for him.

“Ask him out.”

That earned him another elbow to the shin. “Even if I wanted to,” Kenma said, “which I don’t, I could always just go visit Shouyou. It’s not like they’re leaving the country.”

“Yeah, but if you don’t do it now, you’ll chicken out,” Kuro said. “Just. Something to think about.” And then he was gone, off to bother Akaashi about something or other that Kenma didn’t really care about, as long as they were quiet in their flirting. Kenma turned his eyes back to Kageyama, whom he had kept track of in his progress across the gym. Now he was standing next to his senpai, the other setter on their team, and they were whispering something to each other. Then all at once, those blue eyes turned to Kenma.

Mornings

It was around 8:30 when Tobio woke up. It was normal for Tobio to wake up before Kenma, since Kenma had trouble falling asleep. Tobio smiled to himself as he snuggled closer to his sleeping husband. He enjoyed moments like this. He enjoyed the quiet with only the sound of them breathing while they cuddled close. Kenma woke up about an hour later while Tobio had already been awake, but he didn’t mind waiting for Kenma to wake up. Kenma sighed and buried his head in his husband's chest. “Do we have to get up now?”

Tobio played with Kenma’s hair. “Hm no but we should get up soon.”

Kenma groaned.

“I hate mornings”

Tobio smiled at the comment and hummed in agreement. They stayed in bed for around 30 minutes before Tobio started to get up.

“C’mon Kenma lets go make breakfast.” Kenma reluctantly got up and followed Tobio into the kitchen.

Once they entered the kitchen Kenma yawned and sat on the counter. Tobio walked over to him and stood between his legs, while wrapping his arms around Kenma. Kenma wrapped his arms around Tobios neck and leaned down, giving him a quick kiss on the lips. Tobio smiled as he reached up for another kiss, which Kenma happily obliged. Kenma laughed a little and playfully pushed Tobio away. “So about breakfast…?”

Tobio blushed a little and cleared his throat.

“Right”
