It’s 4 in the afternoon. You had your second product 3 hours ago. Your next product is not for another 3 hours, and you’re starving! Here are 5 ideas to prevent you from caving in to temptation: 1. Drink a large glass of water. Right now. Maybe with a little water flavouring in. Just having water in your stomach will alleviate hunger 90% of the time. You’ll feel better almost instantly! 2, Distract yourself. Most people find that the distraction of being engaged in a task is enough to take away hunger (even if it’s legitimate hunger, and not just boredom). Take the dog for a walk, do 15 minutes weeding in the garden, sort your bookshelves into alphabetical order... anything to get you moving around and not just sitting. 3. If you’re watching TV, or sitting in front of a computer, you don’t get to eat! Odds are you’re not hungry at all — you’re just bored. See #2. 4. Eat one of your planned “bonus snacks”. If you are on Step 1 or 2 you can have a pack of fava beans per day, Higher steps have more variety - ask your 1:1 Consultant for ideas on what you can have for snacks. 5. Re-evaluate your meal plan Are you spacing your products and meals out to best suit your daily routine? Planning for snacks at the right time? Take a serious look at your meal plan and try to use foods that will make you feel fuller, longer.
