NEW GERARD WAY SIGHTING I REPEAT NEW GERARD WAY SIGHTING
When writing fanfic sometimes it’s not that your work isn’t good, it just gets lost in the crowd. Fandom spaces can be loud, and when most people are looking for the same thing, anything different can slip through the cracks.
I’ve come to realize myself: if your story doesn’t follow the ships or direction that ninety percent of the fandom wants, it might take longer to be seen. But that doesn’t make it any less meaningful.
And honestly keep writing, if only out of stubbornness. Out of refusal to let something you love be pushed aside. Because we’ve all been that one person who finds a story that feels like it was written just for us… and falls in love with it.
There’s someone out there who will feel that way about yours.
So keep going. Keep writing the story the way it wants to be told. The right readers will find their way to it eventually.
people like me for my sick and twisted art
