Some more fanart of The Good People, this time depicting my MC Moninne "Ninna" McGill's first encounter with Keagan.
Ninna, wielding a broken piece of glass as a weapon: I think you have the wrong idea. I know it might be hard to believe but I’m not who you think I am.
Keagan, smiling in amusement: I see. (Mentally picturing them as a stray kitten trying to look fierce.)
Moninne's first encounter with Keagan was actually pretty terrifying from her perspective. She's alone in a strange place, then a tall man in dark clothes seems to literally step out of the shadows with no other witnesses in a back alley, and Ninna's only means of defense is a piece of broken glass. 😨A handsome, charming man wearing clothes that cost more than her family's farm taking an interest in a poor girl who's far from home. Those types of situations always end badly! It also doesn't help that Ninna suspected Keagan might be a Gancanagh at first.
Keagan though had a much different perspective of the encounter. Finding the Seelie Court’s missing druid in a back alley where they immediately pull a shard of glass on him. It came across less threatening considering her appearance, small, underweight, & wearing grimy thread bare clothes. Ninna probably reminded Keagan of a stray kitten, small & scared but still trying to look fierce. Keagan could tell right away she wasn’t the real Court Druid, but it’s amusingly adorable how animated & expresive she is! 🤣 He was going to be keeping tabs on “Daonna” anyway, but I have a feeling Keagan will find observing Ninna more entertaining, at least compared to the real Daonna.
