Okay so, like... writing Outbreak in novel form has really given me some more insight into the characters/plot and, thus, they’ve developed a great deal from their ‘original’ selves. For example...
Comic Quinn: I’m so scared of everything out here...! Where’s my brother!? Oh, is this a tiny shoe...!? This item gives off LIGHT!
Novel Quinn: Call me a boy one more time and I’ll slit your fucking throat in your sleep, I promise.
Comic Kayen: I come across as having no emotions and give away things ignorantly, like admitting that I can read minds without considering the consequences.
Novel Kayen: Could everyone around me just stop thinking and feeling things for one damn second so I can breathe?!
Comic Rain: I’m a nerd and I have a grudge against Dia because he broke my heart.
Novel Rain: I just... really want to sew and spend time with Dash. He’s my best friend. Also don’t mention Dia or I will literally have a meltdown. Or catch your house on fire... entirely by accident, of course.
Comic Dia: I’m kind of a rude guy, but all in all I’m pretty nice. I try to take good care of Quinn, at least. And I’m bitter toward Rain, even though I broke his heart.
Novel Dia: If you look anything like Rain I’ll literally kill you. Also all of my maids are named Maria. Even the male ones.
Comic Dash: I’m saucy and confident! I hate my brother, he’s an asshole. I’m also kick ass at like, everything.
Novel Dash: Please don’t notice my binder, or my voice, or misgender me... please. Also, I’m reluctant to allow my Service dog to actually do her job, even though I’m in agony like, 24/7. Weed helps.
There’s so much more, but... yeah. I’m enjoying it so much!
