What I think every tmbs character I could think of, would have as their favorite kind of art style/painting style and era!
Sticky: I think he absolutely adores the impressionist and art nouveau styles, he probably knows a few obscure artists of the time, but can’t help but love Monet or Alphonse Mucha. Kate: She probably likes the Naïve style, but also medieval and Rocco art and paintings. William Hogarth maybe? I’m always tied between the silly ideas for Kate and the more mature ones.
Reynie: Ancient mosaics for sure, not really a painting style but I think he definitely likes ancient art like Roman statues or pottery. Painting style wise, I think he likes realism or impressionist styles because of the attention to detail. Constance: Early modern or post impressionist. I think she definitely likes more classic and stereotypical art styles, with maybe a soft spot for abstract(the statues in the tv show) she’d definitely like Frida Kahlo, and a mixture of realism and abstract. Mr. Benedict: I think he enjoys and finds the beauty in all sorts of art styles, but particularly enjoys artist like Norman Rockwell or styles like American realism.
Milligan: Probably enjoys art that relates to some one expressing their feelings/emotions, like abstract or expressionism, and he likes analyzing how the feelings appear in the brushes. Rhonda: She definitely enjoys classic styles where she can spot all the small details, so to me that reads as pre-Raphaelite and modernism.
Number Two: Abstract or pointillism, if I’m being serious. But also, pencil sketches or color pencil works.
S.Q: Expressionist art or wildlife works. I think he marvels at any art, and just tries to think about how he’d paint it no matter the style or technique.
Mr.Curtain:He doesn’t enjoy modern art (as in the 21st century not the style) and thinks art is NOT subjective, and actively says the only real art that deserves attention is realism or just general classics. He pushes this idea onto the students at LIVE who happen to be there relating to art, and basically forces them all to all draw realistic. Miss. Perumal: I think she’s similar to Reynie, but also enjoys classicism. She definitely enjoys artist like Monet or Hogarth. She especially enjoys rococo. Ten Men but generalized: They all can agree that the renaissance had amazing art, but other then that, they argue about what they think looks best a lot. Constantly in fact. Half of them find medieval art funny and great, the other half think it’s disgusting and a waste of arts supplies. Outside of these arguments, they don’t really care for art.
