kinktober masterlist
18+ mdni !!! | you can find my kinktober prompt list here! some of these are going to also be based on requests iâve gotten. iâm super excited for kinktober :)
Fear street saying actually it isnât that some people are just worse and thatâs the way it is instead itâs that the system is rigged and itâs always been rigged and actually maybe the losers are just people trying their best who have always been trying their best even though all the fucking odds are stacked against them. And privilege exists because it is built on the misfortune of other and those who sustain are aware of the suffering and might even feel bad but they know that that is what it takes to maintain their privilege so they do it anyway.
Like thinking about the way that we were all on Nick Goodeâs side even when he was calling Kate and Simon junkies and acting like he could do nothing to spin the story differently despite being the FUCKING SHERIFF. Thinking about Nick Goode framing Martin not because it was part of the ritual but because he fucking could and it was easy.
Thinking about Tommy who was kind, and Cindy who was smart, and Alice who was brave, and Ziggy who was bold, about the children in Union who were innocent and the people who loved them, and the friends of Sarah who loved her despite everything, and every name on the stone that was innocent and will forever be remembered as a monsters. Thinking about Kate and Simon who were not junkies, not just drug dealers, but kind and funny and smart and brave and so so loved.
About how despite all the press and gossip the true monsters always lived in Sunnyvale, not Shadyside.
And like everybody talks about all the queer themes in this movie and yes those are great, but like the themes of privilege and wealth and what actually upholds those beneath all the pomp and polish. What it actually means to be born into poverty, and the useless vigils held by those benefiting from the suffering. Like these themes also should be discussed.
Aight sorry if this is incoherent, itâs late but I was brimming with feelings after rewatching the trilogy.
my biggest problems with the fear street: prom queen
before I get into this, I wanna say that I didnât hate the movie. I had fun with it for what it was! these are just my thoughts and opinions
First and foremostâwho on EARTH thought it would be a good idea to have it take place in 1988?! it makes absolutely zero sense that there would have been a massacre at shadyside high school less than ten years before the events of the first film. josh would have been all over that! they should have made it post-1994 because otherwise thereâs no reason josh wouldnât have it pinned up and his conspiracy board. this point especially stands since the post-credit scene suggests that the goodeâs were behind what happened.
onto the messy ass post-credit scene: so the implication (at least to me) is that the goodeâs were behind the massacre since tiffanyâs motherâs blood formed the witchâs mark. if that was the case, why were the falconerâs all lucid? every other killer possessed by the goodeâs was shown to be almost zombie-like. all three of the falconerâs are lucid and seemingly aware of what theyâre doing. it just seemed like a sloppy way of trying to add a tie-in to the original trilogy, but ultimately it makes zero sense and makes the already messy plot that much more convoluted.
WHERE WERE THE LESBIANS?! these movies are built on lezzing out so I donât wanna hear any push back against this especially when megan was very clearly a dyke.
there should have been a trilogy. sorry but these movies donât really work as one-offs. one of the biggest appeals to the original trilogy was that we got time to know and love the characters over a period of multiple movies. when you have a story with this many characters, you need multiple movies. this movie throws a lot of characters at you at once and it doesnât leave room for a lot of development or exploration of motives or relationship dynamics.
So Iâm rewatching Fear Street and Iâm on 1978 and I love the detail of Nick finding a few of the Shadysider victims and having blood on his hands and Kurt asking him âdid you do this?â Like funny you should ask
