Gnarly tree
I really like gnarly trees, particularly when they are also mossy! This was the last photo I took on that visit to Eng Alm. I love these types of trees, but unfortunately there are too few of them here in my region. So when I see one, I try not to miss the opportunity to photograph it. This was a little higher up from where I was standing, so it made framing the mountain easier. As always, here…

Die Hütten der Engalm sind teilweise auch schon so alt wie die Ahornbäume im Tal. Das durch die Sonne dunkel gefärbte Holz macht die Almhütten so richtig gemütlich. Die kleine Kapelle ist schon über 300 Jahre alt.
