Making music, selling a lil merch, and performing a show every couple of weeks is cool and all, but Marcy Mane is on a whole ‘nother level of moguldom compared to the rest of the Soundcloud rappers. Between his own career as an artist, his status as head man in charge at Goth Money Records, and his major stake in the streaming platform Yung Cloud, Marcy’s status can’t be questioned when it comes to entrepreneurship. These are the types of real business moves an aspiring mogul should be making, and MFK is just about the only one in the underground rap scene that’s really doing it.

1. How did you get the name Hunned Mill?

I acquired the name through a homie actually it was originally 100 Grand. He was like “I know you’re worth more than 100 Grand”, you should be “HunnedMill “. So that’s how it came about, plus people say that’s how I live my life “100”.

2. Where did you grow up and what was it like there?

I grew up in King William, VA ‘Killa Weed” for short. I briefly lived in the city, the north side of Richmond, VA but mainly the country “The Sticks or Downa Road “. It’s different growing up in the country then the city. Playing regular sports were for the people who really wanted to be athletes from jump street. People around my way race muscle cars and hunt. It was the regular thing to do. Certain differences led me to music and skateboarding.

3. Other than Goth Money, who are three of your favorite underground rappers right now and why?

I honestly don’t listen to any other underground artist no diss. Just trying to stay away from sounding like anyone else sub-consciously, a lot of similarities in the rap game right now.  Bankroll Fresh and a little Larry June are the only underground artist I listen to if I had to give you some. I like melodic music Toro y Moi, The Internet.

4. How did you first get into making music?

I was skating back like 2008, me and Kray were making skate videos. He had a guitar hero microphone, I said I could make a song with the program on his computer and that’s how it happens.  I had been rhyming and doing poetry since a lad.

5. What’s your favorite song you’ve released so far and why?

I want to say my favorite is 3 AM Trip Dixon and I produce the track. My cousin Karmahs on it as well. It was an original and organic sound we made geeking off the loud one night. We had a good time making it, that’s why its tight to me.

6. Anything else you’d like to add?

Downa Road Vol. 1 on Sound cloud. Downa Road Vol. 2 coming sooner than later. Plotting on a album. Shout out the whole Goth Squad, Shyne Boyz, Taliban World. Big ups to the whole underground. Good look Internet Hippy for checking. @hunnedmill

“SAD BOY” by Black Kray

It’s impossible to dislike Black Kray. Even if you’ve got beef or some sort of disagreement, it’s still difficult to hold any sort of ill will against him because you know it’s not coming from a place of malice. Lil Rari is one of the most genuine people you will come across in this entire rap subgenre, and when you consider his place as an underground hip-hop pioneer, it’s hard not to hold him in a place of high regard.
