Lamorn OC Background
This is a doozy of a story so buckle up if you want to hear it!
Basically, my lamorn OC Karesh was a scientist in the laboratory in the Ice Belt. However, he was turned into a lamorn during a green energy rain shower, not the great tragedy shower, and so therefore he was turned into a griever. Millennia later, his griever instincts left him in Fury Green, right in the path of my other OC Doctor (almost but Iâll get to that) Elara Voss.
Background on Voss: she was a student at a technological university but she was scrutinized by her professors because the professors had more knowledge than her about what she is capable of and what path she should be on instead but she refused to accept that being in a doctorate of science was not her path. The professors saw her becoming a historian and a degree in ancient histories because she really had a knack for it and secretly she had a passion for it. In a fury, she decided to pry open the restricted area of the artifact vault to a secret device that not even the most advanced professors could figure out, and she decided to mess around with it to try and make it work to prove that she was deserving of a science degree. However said device was a teleporter key from one of the 13 lamorn that didnât return. She activated it and actually was sent to Viewros. She crash landed in Fury Green and over time after throwing a fit and getting angry at her surroundings, Voss eventually began to let her historical passions slip and she began to document and study everything. Apparently, there were already people there that had left. There were human federation additions to ancient technology and so she knew that she had to keep going to find out more. She eventually found out that there was a group of stranded federation troops that had made it out somehow due to the things they left behind. Voss COULD find a way to escape and prove once and for all that she was worthy of a doctorate in science BUT she decided to explore the ruins, thus choosing the path that her professors had wanted her on all along.
Back to Karesh. Voss realized that the lamorn was an extinct version of the grievers. She accidentally on a whim decided to try and reverse it herself, to which she used her advanced chemistry certificate (not degree ik what Iâm talking about) and decided to try separating the green energy from the water base compound it was in. She succeeded and so when Karesh as a griever came, she accidentally cured him.
Karesh was beyond culture shocked and disgusted at how his species basically died. However he found peace that the memory fruit and the chosen one had indeed came and left. Over time, Elara and Karesh cured whatever populace they could and began to rebuild Viewros albeit with many setbacks. Elara lost her physical form after being almost killed by a griever but she gained a Lamorn synthetic tissue body that eventually overtook her human body that was patched up by the lamorn synthetic tissue.
Elara was reunited with her professors which granted her diploma in ancient xenohistory and (to her annoyance that it wasnât another diploma) an advanced certificate in chemistry. Elara eventually accepted her path and her mission and her and Karesh became mates. Viewros became established and Elara, despite her pleads that her intentions were purely accidental at the beginning, was seen as the true chosen one. Because she had actually saved them. The funny thing is that the lamorn keep calling her Doctor Voss, thinking that Doctor is her first name and Voss being her last. She does have a Lamorn name, EâVarya, which means âsavior of the earthâ but no one ever calls her that unless itâs in writing only.
to be clear: this university that she was a part of was like a boarding school college with professors being also like personal guidance counselors that would guide the student to be wherever they saw the student benefiting the most. Elara refused to leave the science wing of said school but there were other sections of the school, like history and medicine and English, but she only knew the science wing. She wasnât gonna get kicked out of the school in entirety. The school is an unpronounceable name, an extinct language that only the founder of the school named it and knew what it meant, so they just call it the school.
