Every girl Yorkie has been named "Dixie" and every boy Yorkie has been named "Max." This is no accident, and while the trope of replacing one pet with an identical namesake is an ancient cliche, it holds some bearing in this case. You see, there have only ever been two Yorkshire Terrier souls produced, due to budget cuts in early development. As there have been many copies of the corporal dog downloaded for home use, the prototypical two souls have been free to inhabit any dog on the network at any time. This is why Yorkies spend much of their lives exhibiting symptoms of soullessness. The frame rate for "Max" and "Dixie" soul transfer can be quite high, up to sixty possessions per second, but as dogs continue to be added to the network, lagging does occur. Contrary to popular belief, "Max" is not restricted to boy Yorkie bodies, and "Dixie" is not restricted to girl Yorkie bodies. To correct for any inaccuracies the home Yorkie user may experience with their Terrier, both models have been made colorblind to "pink."
