I haven’t read much Kate/Irene wherein they are the main feature, and not just a throwaway line or a backdrop, BUT!

Thanks to Femslash February inspiration, @pasiphile has just written a lovely Karene fic called Ondine that is just about them, how they may have met, and started their relationship. I love the way that pasiphile fleshes out Kate’s character, makes her interesting and quick and a bit snarky, someone Irene would be drawn to. She’s got talent and passion and backbone, not a pushover, but doesn’t mind being in the background when it comes to the public side of things. Really excellent character development.

If you don’t mind Janine thrown in between Irene and Kate, you may like my fic You Can’t Be A Spectator, which is an explicit PWP between these three lovely ladies, POV Janine with Kate taking front-and-centre.

For Johnlock with a side of Karene, no sex but good character & relationship development, I gotta rec @may-shepard‘s Brief Conversations with the Woman. It’s just a lovely fic overall, it fills in all these bits about Irene, and her relationship with Kate, while also coaching Sherlock on how to get together with John. This Irene is so much a part of how I see Irene that this fic has practically become canon in my mind.
