You can’t count how many times you had arguments over him leaving his things everywhere and he’s just staring at you with a bored expression.

I also feel like he has the best comebacks when you two are arguing and your sister has to hold her laugh all the time because she doesn’t want you to feel bad.

But him being slightly older makes more sense to me for some reason

Even though he’s slightly older, you were almost like the parent he (and you) never had.

You took care of all his wounds when you were both kids and you two probably held each other close when crying after your father let out his anger on you.

Michael probably tried to stay strong in front of you and defend you from your father.

When you two were still little kids, he’d let you play with his long hair.

You shrug, “I don’t know. Just a hunch. And you know I’m never wrong.”

“You’re right, you’ve never been wrong once in this relationship.”

You grin, “I’m so glad you know that.” One of your hands slips over to lace your fingers with his, and he’s quick to bring the bundle of hands up to his mouth, kissing the back of yours. “I think we had sleepovers in your shell.”

“I don't think that's how snails work.”

You shrug. “I think you’d make an exception for me.”

“Of course I would.” He noses at your scalp and cuddles closer for comfort, "I'll always make an exception for you."

karasu looked like he’d just survived a natural disaster. hair falling into his eyes, sticking out at weird angles, bangs tickling his nose every time he blinked. he was tearing through the apartment like a storm, rummaging through the bathroom cabinet like his life depended on it.

“it’s gone,” he announced, voice dripping with betrayal. “all my hair gel. gone. vanished. murdered in cold blood.”

you sipped your coffee, pretending to be concerned. “wow, that’s tragic. maybe the universe is telling you to let your hair breathe every once in a while.”

he whipped around, hair flopping dramatically. “my hair doesn’t need to breathe, it needs discipline.”

“discipline?” you snorted. “it’s hair, tabito, not a soldier.”

he narrowed his eyes, and in the next second, you were tackled onto the couch. “where is it, criminal?” he demanded, fingers already digging into your sides.

you shrieked, kicking and laughing, “i’m not telling you—!”

“confess!” he grinned wickedly, relentless in his attack.

“no!” you gasped, clutching at his arm. “just… let it breathe, okay? one day won’t kill you!”

he paused mid-tickle, messy hair falling forward and shadowing his face. honestly, he looked unfairly good like this. you softened, brushing strands out of his eyes. “see? you look gorgeous.”

he huffed like he wasn’t affected, but the corner of his mouth twitched. “fine. i’m giving up. i’ll live… without gel. for today.”

“you mean until i tell you where it is?” you teased.

“nah.” he flopped down beside you, throwing an arm over his eyes. “too much work. besides—” he peeked at you, “—if you like it, maybe i’ll keep it down more often.”

you grinned, leaning over to kiss his cheek. “smart choice, soldier.”

later, at the stadium, you walked beside him into the dugout, still smug about your little victory. karasu’s hands were stuffed into his jacket pockets, trying to act like nothing was different. but the moment he stepped in, hiori froze mid-stretch.

“...what the hell happened to you?” hiori blinked.

“nothing,” karasu said flatly.

“your hair’s down,” otoya chimed in from behind, leaning forward to get a better look. his grin spread immediately. “wait—are you trying to seduce the crowd today? bold.”

“shut up.”

“nah, man, don’t,” otoya teased, looping an arm over karasu’s shoulder. “you look like you just walked out of a romance drama.”

hiori chuckled. “i mean, he is walking in with his girlfriend right now.”

you smirked, giving karasu a sweet little wave before heading up to your seat. “good luck, pretty boy.”

his ears turned red instantly, and otoya caught it. “ohhh, so it’s her fault!”

karasu muttered something under his breath, pulling on his cap to hide his face. but the faint curve of his lips gave him away.

To put it simply, you were a nerd. Your head was always in your books and you were only ever focused on your studies. You didn't really go out much either as you were a homebody. Everyone knew of this but no one really cared. Well, that was everyone except for Tabito Karasu of course.

He was the bane of your existence. He teased you and picked on you constantly. Whether it was stealing your books, purposefully bumping into you, making teasing remarks and suggestive comments or even cornering you when you were alone—he always found a way to mess with you.

Sure, you could handle a little banter but it was genuinely getting on your nerves. This lead you to make a foolish decision. You made a bet with him. If he won the school's upcoming soccer tournament and scored the winning goal, you would take him up on his advances.

He was a handsome and smart guy. That was one thing you had to admit. That combined with him being a great soccer player made a lot of the girls fawn over him or try to get with him.

You didn't actually believe that your school would win. While you did have a great team, if they even made it to the finals they would have to face off against a very skilled and talented team. He wasn't that determined, right?

The day of the final match arrived. You didn't attend any of the games and you most definitely weren't going to this one. It was quiet and peaceful, almost as if it was the calm before the storm. Still, you didn't worry. You were sure they would lose.

You had school the day after which meant you got to rub it in his face. Well, that's what you thought.

The moment you stepped foot into the hallways was when you heard it. They had won. Your school's team had actually won. The final score was 4-1 with Karasu scoring a hat trick and the winning goal. To your dismay, he had won.

To make it worst, he was by your class waiting. He leaned against a wall near the classroom door. "Didn't think I'd actually win, huh? You're all mine, dork." He grinned, straightening up to walk over to you. Your jaw clenched. At the end of the day, a bet was a bet. You had lost and now you would have to own up to it.

What started off as taunting slowly turned into something more. In public he bullied you and called you all sorts of names. In private? The two of you were practically a couple. His hands were all over you and his mean words turned into something more softer and passionate.

It didn't matter where the two of you were. As long as there were no prying eyes, he didn't care. The janitor's closet, his place, on the school's staircase, behind the bleachers on the field where he played.

As much as you didn't want to admit it, you enjoyed it a lot more than you thought you would. His hands slipping between your thighs, groping your breasts, or even on your ass. You didn't mind at all.

He was always gentle and steady when dealing with you as he knew that you were a lot more inexperienced. When the two of you went a lot further than making out, he made sure that you were always comfortable. He was also made it very clear that he wasnt interested in anyone but you even if the two of you were only seeing each other in secret.

You were his after all. He didn't go through all that for nothing.
