Grandpa crow and giyuu :D
I love kanzaburou so much and I'm fully convinced that they're both just hanging onto reality for each other at least before the events of the anime. Kanzaburou is definitely single handedly (or wingedly?) keeping Giyuu's blood pressure up to point of hypertension. I don't know if vets were a thing in Taisho-era Japan, but I'm certain that Giyuu was taking his geriatric crow to one everytime it coughed wrong only to get charged $90 as general visitation fee.
From hobbling into active combat zones and delivering the wrong messages at the wrong times, Kanzaburou has our heart (and Giyuu's wallet)

Kanzaburo was the one who, unintentionally, helped the two of you grow close.
One day, he flew off in the wrong direction before Giyuu could stop him.
The poor hashira was stressing, speed-walking in the direction he went to find his crow, when he heard your voice cooing at Kanzaburo's cuteness.
He could softly hear the hoarse voice of his kasugai, “G-giyu…”
Kanzaburo was very old and tended to make mistakes because of it. He knew this and felt a bit guilty that Giyuu suffered because of it.
Noticing his distress and admiring his dedication, the other crows began helping him with his tasks and started appearing around the water estate. It didn't take long for them to realize that Giyuu Tomioka was a godsend.
He gave them top tier snacks for even the most basic of tasks, groomed them to perfection without even being asked, made an enclosure full of comfy nests for them to roost in inside the home, and even had a little hand made bird sauna (to help Kanzaburo with his old joints)
Needless to say, his estate became bird central.
Next were the muscle mice. Tengen treated them well, all things considered, but a few of them got stuck in some sticky sap in a tree hollow and were missing for days. Giyuu found them and rescued them. He took them home, bathed them with such gentleness, and fed them a hot meal as they warmed themselves by the hearth. As they huddled together under the edge of a blanket, they decided they liked this guy, and they had to tell the others about him.
Slowly, Giyuu befriended all of the animals in the demon slayer core without even realizing it but had no human friends.
They decided they needed to change that, so Disney Princess Giyuu kept getting placed into weird shenanigans as his animal friends tried to sneakily set him up on friend dates.
No one realizes what's happening except Tengen, who is watching everything from the shadows deeply amused.

Kanzaburou:
I like the idea of Giyuu being extremely protective of his crow. Like he doesn't care if people talk bad about him but he gets mad instantly if someone mentions Kanzaburo. Let's say someone whines about Kanzaburo's age and says the crow should retire, Giyuu hears it and yells at that person in front of everyone. That story spreads and becomes so famous that no one dares to complain about Kanzaburo (not even Sanemi or Iguro) because no one wants to face an angry Water Hashira who will do anything to protect his crow.
