9 and 22 for Kandris
9. What’s their biggest fear?
Kandris got caught once by the Inquisition in his home city, and his execution (being part of a rebel group) was imminent. He had seen his older sister get publicly executed for similar reasons, when he was much younger. He remembered the torture, the bloodbath, the questions mixed with an array of spells just to make her talk, and... Well! He was absolutely fucking terrified of having to go through that!
Areel managed to help him escape before that happened, but Kandris has had a HUGE claustrophobia ever since, and is terrified of being caught by his enemies. He's away now from that city and has no inquisition to fear, but the crystal motherfuckers from his current location would not be any gentler. His rebel group did have an habit of carrying poison for a reason: A quick death was better than what enemies had in store for them.
22. When your character is sad, what do they do to cheer themselves up?
If it's some sort of specific situation, nothing too major, or just some surprise anxiety, he'll open up a spicy ass packet of instant noodles and eat that. If you're fighting for your life while eating, you can't think about The SadTM.
Otherwise... He's got a group of people he can talk with at this point, and he does find comfort in friendship. May try to avoid tackling things directly though, he's not a fan of conflicts and he'd rather hide in a little shell.
