Kanato suffered throughout his childhood from his mother's lack of attention. He is truly starved for attention, even though he isn't the best at expressing it. Denying him affection wouldn't be a good idea, but Kanato is REALLY hard to love.

Loving a cactus would be much easier and less painful.

Kanato wants love and attention but isn't ready to give much in return. He is prone to jealousy and becomes truly aggressive when angry. Your life would be like constantly walking on eggshells.

That is why you decided to run away from him. You knew it wouldn't be a good idea, but anything would be better than being with Kanato.

Being abandoned is a feeling Kanato could not bear. How dare you leave him after everything he has done? How ungrateful and heartless can you be? Do you really hate him that much?

Kanato would find you surprisingly quickly. Or rather, his brothers—fed up with his massive meltdown—would be the ones to find you. They would drag you back to Kanato, whether you wanted to go or not.
