In an interview on a carpet Hudson very proudly announced that Kamloops is a pocket desert. Here’s what that looks like.

i've wanted to post something about his for a while, but finding the words to articulate just how painful and impactful it all has been has been difficult.
i just want to remind everyone that these children in the unmarked graves across canada (and the us) are NOT just our ancestors. they are our grandparents, mothers and fathers, aunts and uncles, our brothers and sisters and our cousins. my grandfather's siblings attended the kamloops residential school and he never heard from them or saw them again. his mother's pain and trauma from attending that school has affected my immediate family. these schools aren't before our time. the gordon indian residential school was in operation when i was in elementary school. this is not old news. and only now are people talking about it and acknowledging what happened to these children. only now they are listening to first hand stories of immense pain and trauma. canada was literally built on the backs of native children.

Hmm, well I tried a new colouring brush and a slightly altered colour palette on this one. I’m not terribly happy with either.
I really need to spend some time trying to focus on what it is I’m trying to achieve with my colouring. I’m really having a hard time visualizing what exactly it is I want. But this wasn’t it...
Oh man, what a disaster this one turned out to be.
Why only two colours? Because my ‘new’ colouring idea turned out to be so bad I had to scrap the whole thing at the last minute. I turned the entire page to grayscale, then hastily applied two colour layers to save the thing.
I kept thinking to myself “this might work, just see it out to the end.” Yeah, it definitely didn’t work. I have an idea for my comic, buttttt I’m not so sure that’s gonna work either...
