being so for real my dream game as a developer is someday making a spiritual successor to kameo: elements of power. I dont think any other game makes me so deeply sad in how its potential was squandered by a megacorporation ruining its development cycle. especially because for all its flaws its STILL SO FANTASTIC so its like!!! It could have been something truly incredible if Rare had been allowed to work on it how they wanted!!!! But Microsoft fucked it so now its only half the game it could have been-- with most of its plot relegated to journals posted online after its release-- and so many clear signs scattered throughout that the devs wanted it to be so much more!!!! And now barely anyone has ever even heard of it because it flopped despite being an xbox 360 launch title!!!!! Fuck!!!!!!!!!! I want to make something like it So Bad someday but that just isnt feasibly something I could do as a solo developer who is currently struggling to even get out an RPGmaker game bc of. A lot of factors. Mostly a cocktail of physical disability and mental illness. But God. Maybe someday.
