I know it’s only been a couple of days since I finished this story, but, um, I actually had second book outfits for them since finishing the first version of the story. (I think because I liked writing it so much that I was like, well, what if I did it a second time, and started to sort of think of a sequel, although that one wasn’t anything.) I went through and fixed a few of the designs just because I didn’t like them very much, and I’m sure I’ll be tweeking them endlessly until I actually write the sequel, but…I like these, so I’m posting them, lol.
I do have a name for the sequel, by the way. It’s the Hero’s Wife. :P
Honestly, there’s no huge reason for me to make new designs other than me just wanted to give people new outfits for new books. They’re appearance doesn’t change that much, but I like creating outfits, so…yeah. Livy’s is just supposed to be a frillier dress just because, and then I decided today to give her a sash instead of a belt (to match her sister, lol), and I love the look. Kallum I decided to have wearing just, like, a comfortably shirt just because? IDK. I was going to try to figure out the belt situation for him before realizing he has no need to attach his sword to his belt (since he can summon it at will). But I like it! Its very blue, but it’s nice.
Artemisia I fought with for a minute, because I had sort of wanted to give her a skirt/long shirt, but…it looked to *girly* for her. Like, it looked great and all, but wasn’t Artemisia. So I was like screw it, pants. Pants all day. And it just…works really well with her? Eli is supposed to wearing something similar to his book one outfit, but not quite, and I figured ditch the cape. It’s nice and all, and suits him, but eh. I just wanted him without it. @callistochan87 made the suggestion to give him hexagonal glasses rather than round, and I think he’d do it, so…now it’s canon, lol.
Gwen’s outfit is pretty much the same as her book one’s, but with different top of the dress and sleeves, and she’s wearing her pouch belt again just to make it different. I like it. Not quite as cool as the first one, but still very witchy, especially with the hat. Xander basically just gets a hoodie? But it’s a cool looking hoodie. And then he gets short sleeves just for the hell of it (same with Artemisia). I like.
I had decided to give Livy a blue secondary color instead of black because I thought it would connect her with Kallum a bit more (and the black, while cool, was a bit harsh?) But then I was like, wouldn’t it be funny if all their secondary colors were blue? And because blue looks great with everything, that’s sort of what I ended up doing. Because it’s funny, lol.
Alicia there looks great. I love how folksy her outfit ended up looking! I thought it would be fun is Livy and Alicia had similar looking dresses, which is why I gave Livy that sash. Edward is just kinda…eh, but that’s because I had already used the design I had originally given him. But he still looks nice? I think? I feel like I’m going to mess around with him a bit more, because it’s sort of plain.
Roland there…heh, the only one that actually changes. I wasn’t too sure if I wanted him to lose an eye because his hotness factor would go up a little, but I figure I’d go ahead and give Livy her revenge. He wasn’t going to have his hair down but I decided that he’s sort of let himself go after losing his eye and then his credibility when he’s running around claiming a member of the Hero’s party no one’s heard of stabbed him in the eye. (Could he tell people a monster did it? I mean, yeah, but then he’d lose his reputation of being strong, and it would be viewed as his fault, when it clearly wasn’t!) He does kind of sort of use his new look to his advantage, but he’s not a huge fan of the pity.
Over all, I do like how these turned out, but I know I’ll end up changing them at some point, lol.

When Kallum returned to his assigned hotel room that evening, he knew immediately that something was off. Something more than the general too many people have fucked in this room before me feeling that always came with rooms like this.
There was a presence in the darkness, watching him on the bed.
He silently wrapped his hand around the gun tucked into the waistband of his jeans. But when he flipped on the light, confusion raced in instead of fear.
“Marg?”
“I thought this would be a nice surprise,” she quipped. Stretched out a hand, she gingerly pushed the barrel of the gun away from her. Most of her clothes were scattered on the floor, leaving her pale skin bared in the lamplight. “I thought you might be happy to see me.”
“You shouldn’t be here,” Kallum stammered, glancing back over his shoulder at the door. “Wait, how the fuck did you make it past the others downstairs?” His eyes narrowed. “You didn’t shift did you?”
Marg shrugged in answer, looking impatient. He marked the circles under her eyes, though he doubted she would admit to it.
“Everyone thinks you double-crossed us with the Russians. And if anyone sees me with you…”
Margaret cocked her head at him, smirking. “That’s the benefit of dating a shifter, though, isn’t it? No one ever has to see.”
He kept his eyes down but he heard her crawling towards him on the bed. When Kallum lifted his gaze again, Margaret was merely eight inches tall, staring up at him with her bedroom eyes. Easily hidden. His personal, perfect secret. His pulse quickened at the very idea— exactly what she wanted. She wore that smugness like a crown.
He set the gun on the nightstand and sat down next to her on the bed. Kallum rested fingertips over her legs, playing with the contours of her now-tiny body, loving the way it fit under his hand.
“How can you be thinking of a booty call when the world thinks you’ve committed treason?” he murmured.
“It’s called stress-management, Kal.”
He snorted, but couldn’t indulge himself. Couldn’t shake the worry. “You’re asking a lot of me.”
She kissed his knuckle and holstered herself into his grasp. “I know.”
