Not too long ago, my two best online friends and I tried to hook up Project 64k and play some Mario Party 3 online. It... failed. Spectacularly. Nothing was syncing up, I was lagging behind the whole way which caused all their button presses to not do anything with me, and on the last attempt one of them told me the other had a different turn order than him.
He lamented that we couldn't seem to do anything together, but now that I'm thinking about it, I can see it another way, at least with that particular instance: the universe was trying to preserve our friendship.

Once I was playing Mario Party 1 with my friends Pika and Scrappert. We were on the Yoshi board and all of us were feeling kinda eh because we were realizing we didn't really like 1 that much, but it wasn't that bad, until I landed on Bowser with no Coins.
Bowser took away my only Star because I was broke. I was so astounded and upset by this that I immediately, without a word just went into the menu and turned my controls over to a computer.
A few turns later I'd cooled down a bit and intended to jump back in, but then Pika landed on Bowser with no Coins. He then proceeded to do exactly what I did after it happened to me as I came back into the game.
