Imagine being locked in a sterile escape room with your F/Os. Suddenly, the monitor flashes red with a single rule:

"To unlock the door, you must generate a continuous noise level above 100 decibels for 10 minutes straight."

Normal people: Start screaming, throwing chairs, and smashing the walls to make as much noise as possible.

Kyojuro and kiki: Slowly turn our heads and lock eyes with Kaiji.

Kaiji: (Backing into a corner, sweating profusely) "...W-Why are you two looking at me like that? Guys, there are cameras! The Game Master is literally watching!"

Kyojuro: (Unbuttoning his uniform with a proud, booming laugh) "Smashing furniture is exhausting and undignified, my boy! But Kiki and I know exactly how to make you scream loud enough to save us all! UMAI!

Kiki:(Cornering him with a predatory smile) "Think of it as a necessary sacrifice for the team, Kaiji. Now be a good boy and make some noise for us." ✨

July 16th is Ashkaiji day! It's the day my girlfriend and I started RPing these two together two years ago, and since we last checked, that RP had reached over 450k words. It's definitely grown since then! What started as RPing two characters with an interesting potential dynamic on a whim turned into something that makes us both insane with how much emotional depth comes out of it.

Last year we drew them in some references to My Own Private Idaho (hers / mine) and this time we referenced photographs of Bruce Springsteen and Clarence Clemons for our Band AU side project for them! These are their lines and my coloring, and this one over here is my lines and their coloring.

Today marks me and my gf's two year ashkaijiversary in which we started RPing them together. Last time we checked in the word count was around 450k, it's probably at least 500 by now!

This time we wanted to draw something based on another AU we have for them where they're in a band, and we referenced the drawings based on photos of bruce springsteen and clarence clemons.

As with last year's, one of us did the lines and the other coloured and rendered it. This one is their lines + my colours!
