The Story of Lord Jagannath

Once upon a time, there was a king named Indradyumna, who was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu. He had heard about a miraculous wooden idol of Lord Vishnu hidden in a forest. The king wished to bring this idol to his kingdom and worship it.

King Indradyumna performed intense prayers and penance. Pleased with his devotion, Lord Vishnu appeared in his dream and guided him to a special neem tree in the forest. From this tree, a divine idol would be made.

A skilled carpenter named Vishwakarma, who was actually Lord Vishnu in disguise, agreed to carve the idol. He asked the king not to disturb him and promised to complete the work in 21 days. The king waited eagerly, but curiosity got the better of him on the 21st day. When he peeked, he found the idol incomplete—the hands were missing.

Even though it was unfinished, the king accepted the idol as divine. The idol was named Jagannath, meaning “Lord of the Universe.” Along with Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra were also installed in the temple at Puri.

Lord Jagannath became famous for the Rath Yatra (Chariot Festival). During this festival, the deities travel through the streets of Puri in huge, beautifully decorated chariots. Devotees from all over the world gather to witness this procession, believing that seeing the Lord brings blessings and spiritual happiness.

Moral: The story of Lord Jagannath teaches devotion, faith, and patience. True devotion pleases God, and His blessings can transform lives.

Once upon a time, there was a poor Brahmin named Sudama, who was a childhood friend of Lord Krishna. Sudama lived a very simple life and struggled to earn enough food for his family.

One day, Sudama’s wife asked him to visit Lord Krishna, hoping that Krishna might help them. Hesitant at first because he was poor and had nothing valuable to offer, Sudama finally agreed. He took a small bundle of poha (flattened rice) as a humble gift for Krishna.

When Sudama reached Krishna’s palace, Krishna welcomed him with great love and respect. Krishna washed Sudama’s feet, offered him food, and treated him like a beloved friend. Sudama felt shy but offered the small gift of poha. Krishna accepted it with joy and ate it lovingly, blessing Sudama for his devotion.

Sudama returned home, and to his surprise, he found that his small hut had turned into a beautiful palace, filled with riches. His family was happy and comfortable, but Sudama remained humble, realizing that true devotion and love for God are far greater than wealth or gifts.

Moral: True devotion (bhakti) comes from the heart. God values love and sincerity more than riches or offerings.

यह घटना 2018 की है, दिल्ली के पास एक पीजी हॉस्टल की।

नेहा एक आईटी कंपनी में काम करती थी और रात की शिफ्ट के बाद अक्सर अपनी माँ से फोन पर बात करते हुए सो जाती थी। एक रात, करीब 2:17 बजे, उसकी माँ के फोन पर नेहा की कॉल आई।

माँ ने उठाया, लेकिन दूसरी तरफ पूरी खामोशी थी।

“नेहा?” कोई जवाब नहीं।

फोन चालू रहा। अचानक माँ को साँस लेने की धीमी आवाज़ सुनाई दी… जैसे कोई बहुत पास खड़ा हो।

डरकर माँ ने कॉल काट दी और दोबारा नेहा को फोन किया — फोन बंद था।

सुबह जब हॉस्टल पहुँचे, तो नेहा अपने कमरे में मृत पाई गई। पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट के अनुसार उसकी मौत रात 2 बजे के आसपास हुई थी।

सबसे डरावनी बात यह थी कि — नेहा का फोन उसके हाथ से 3 फीट दूर, टूटा हुआ पड़ा था… और कॉल लॉग में उस समय कोई आउटगोइंग कॉल नहीं थी।

लेकिन माँ के फोन में अब भी वह कॉल दर्ज थी — 2:17 AM – Duration: 6 मिनट 13 सेकंड

फोन कंपनी ने बाद में कहा:

“ऐसी कॉल तकनीकी रूप से संभव नहीं है।”

आज भी नेहा की माँ कहती है — उस रात फोन पर जो साँसें सुनाई दी थीं… वो नेहा की नहीं थीं।

शीर्षक: कमरा नंबर 7 :-

शहर के सबसे पुराने अस्पताल में कमरा नंबर 7 हमेशा बंद रहता था।

कहते थे वहाँ जो भी गया, वो खुद से मिलकर लौटा… या लौटा ही नहीं।

अर्जुन को सच जानना था। एक रात वह चुपचाप कमरा नंबर 7 में घुस गया।

कमरे में सिर्फ़ एक कुर्सी, एक टेबल और सामने दीवार पर लगा बड़ा सा आईना।

अचानक पीछे से आवाज़ आई— “तुम देर से आए हो।”

अर्जुन पलटा।

उसके सामने वही चेहरा था… बिल्कुल उसका अपना।

“मैं कौन हूँ?” अर्जुन चिल्लाया।

दूसरा अर्जुन शांत था। “तुम वही हो… जो बच गया।”

आईने में अब दो नहीं, सैकड़ों अर्जुन दिखने लगे।

हर एक की आँखों में एक अलग ज़िंदगी की कहानी थी।

दूसरा अर्जुन बोला, “हर इंसान के फैसले से एक नई ज़िंदगी बनती है। ये कमरा उन सबका इंतज़ार करता है जो सही और गलत के बीच फँसे रहते हैं।”

अर्जुन की साँसें तेज़ हो गईं। “तो असली कौन है?”

दूसरा अर्जुन मुस्कुराया— “जो बाहर जाएगा… वही असली कहलाएगा।”

दरवाज़ा अपने आप खुल गया।

सुबह अस्पताल में हड़कंप मच गया।

कमरा नंबर 7 फिर बंद था। अंदर कुर्सी पर बैठा एक आदमी आईने से बाहर देख रहा था।

और आईने के बाहर अर्जुन सामान्य ज़िंदगी जी रहा था।

बस एक फर्क था—

अब अर्जुन कभी फैसले नहीं लेता था।
