This picture is of Detective Daniel Ryan Ackerman, Buena Park Police Department. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• On July 29, 2011 Detective Ackerman also a member of the departments SWAT Team participated in a bi-annual physical fitness training exercise. After completing the exercise, he said he felt faint and dizzy. Detective Ackerman was taken to a local hospital after being treated by an on-site physician who trained with the SWAT Team. Tragically, on July 30, 2011, at approximately 3:40 a.m., Detective Ackerman passed away. He was 31 years old. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Today K9 InVest received a donation in loving memory of Detective Daniel Ryan Ackerman. This donation will cover all the gear requested by the Buena Park Police K9 Unit.
