INCREDIBLY RARE (REAL) CHAPTER 1 DELTARUNE INTERACTION DIALOG
So at this point, we all know about the "Thar She Blows..." text you get if you interact with K. Round's Controle Crowne after it's fight. Only possible by mashing through the text and then running to the right side of the room.
But did you know...
In Chapter 1, the encounter Round resembling a regular checkers piece becomes King Round upon reaching the end of the board - a stronger form with disturbing human legs defeated upon removing its crown. A similar looking crown is used by Rouxls Kaard to force it into fighting you, and you free it from control once again with Susie’s Idea.
In Chapter 2, the Werewire encounter is an alternative form of the plugboy npc type, which makes up quite a bit of Cyber City's population as its working class adjacents. This lanky, scary-looking form is acknowledged in-universe as cool looking, especially compared to the tiny plugboy designs, however this state is described as a "living nightmare" and these encounters are spared similarly by freeing them from the control wires, again with Susie's Idea.
This Matrix-esque unwiring allegory is also shown through Spamton NEO, an imposing boss resembling a large humanoid robot. Spamton, a spambot darkner who was once very much like the Addison npcs of Cyber City, sought out this vessel for the power it contains due to the hopes and dreams of the lightner who created it, yet ends up strung up like a puppet all the same and is spared by freeing him from these green strings.
In Chapter 3 and 4, we are introduced to the suprisingly difficult encounter known as the Watercooler. Resembling a realistic watercooler found in any old office, it's eventually revealed that these containers house water spirits known as Mizzles. One in particular believes herself to be of greater importance and refuses to show her face, yet meeting certain conditions for her results in the container breaking and her appearance revealed to be more realistically proportioned and elegant rather than the small and stylized appearance of all the other Mizzles. This is also shown through the encounter name changing from the Holywatercooler aka "just a watercooler with an ego" to Miss Mizzle, having "transformed from affection".
And Kris Dreemur, the primary pov character we control, is tempted with the offer of "freedom", which may end up taking the form of the No Mercy like Weird Route where you "get stronger" through violence and apathy towards the characters you encounter. Rather than engage with the story of the game, you go out of your way to "break" it by undertaking actions that are bizarre at best and downright cruel at worst. You force Kris to carry out your actions to control and subjugate Noelle, which reinforces their position as her "protector" as if they were an archaic knight and lady, and increases your stats to "get stronger" through the view of traditional RPG mechanics, potentially reshaping the prophecy for the worse according to Ralsei's speculation. The blue bead is broken off but still trapped. Yet in chapter 4, Susie asks to hear Kris play piano themselves and her request to her friend unintentionally breaks the player's control, allowing them to play a beautiful song for her in a brief moment of freedom.
These are all many ways in which a character seen as nondescript or an everyman just like the others around them gains a sense of power or superiority that only further serves to control and confine them to an undesirable position, doing little to actually improve the reality of their situation. And in all these instances, it seems to be that the help of others is what really frees them and allows them to take control for themselves.
Theres also Berdly.. I guess.. since he's got the same crown as King Round in his flashback.. and is also freed from Queen's control wires.. along with being fought on a roller coaster like SNEO.. and has a strange romantic subplot thingy like you flirt with Miss Mizzle..
but I guess that one's probably not important or anything lol don't worry bout it.
Day 90 of drawing a Deltarune a day!
Something about not needing arms with legs like those
