There's a beautiful, unique and melancholy feeling when you perform the hundred little "lasts" of your final performance. It's the feeling of a closing book. 146 performances at 48 different venues (or 50 bump-in-techs) in 5 states and 2 territories over 6 months. It is one of the biggest things I've ever done with my life and it has accordingly changed my life. I've learned lessons about being an actor, being a human being, balance, and strength. I've seen more of our beautiful Australia than I could have ever hoped to. I fell in love and did long-distance for 5 months. I changed my mind about the city I was going to live in afterwards and moved there. I made beautiful friends and found incredible teachers at the same time. There's not much more to say than a huge, heartfelt thanks to my fellow Shaggy Roos @rebecca.hetherington @chloe_dallimore and @amandajanelaing, the stage manager of my heart @callybartley, John and his pet Mic, and all of the incredible humans at @monkeybaatheatreco and @artsontour for their huge hearts and endless support. It's been a pleasure to have lived in Shaggy Gully for the last 7 months. This is goodbye from Joey, Bernard, Todd, and Phillipe. πΉβ€οΈ #JWTD #closingthebook (at Monkey Baa) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bo0GigFlZXT/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=fc8wvj74p50w
