I love how in character Nagito is in here and I absolutely love the dynamic he has along with the reader and I can’t wait to see where or how this goes and I hope (hahahahaha) it ends well for the two

!! I'm glad you found it amusing!! I was aiming for the same kind of almost second hand embarrassment fanservice humour that the games do so well w the awkward pervy jokes- without making it like so much that it's no longer an enjoyable read for a romantic fic
Thank you for saying this tho I literally have never been so uncertain in my characterisation of a character than nagito bc I wrote chap 1 and most of 2 before I'd even got to the last murder
It's always cool to hear other people agree w how I see a character bc I basically spend all the time watching/playing the game thinking about the motivations for their actions and what could make them act the way they do and then I assemble almost a psychological profile (and a collection of their voice lines that sound like them in my head so I can reread them to get their voice right) and based on that I create a reader that I can slot into their world, and then i think of like their first/best/most interesting interaction and build the rest of the plot/fic around there.
Which is often why I have a mix of short fics (ish lol 7k words isn't short for some) and then multi chaptered beasts bc sometimes the plot comes and its just that one moment and sometimes the plot comes and it comes and it comes and it comes hahahahah

Ahhhhhhh ohmygosh this is so nice to hear??? I REALLY didn't feel secure in my characterisation of nagito bc I hadn't finished the game OR done any of his FTE's bc my dumbass got distracted by thiccakuya (byakuya) and didn't hang out w nagito in chapter 1
But it's onG been so nice to hear that ppl have been vibing w it bc i couldn't even go read other fics to see what ppl were thinking bc I didn't want spoiled hahaha
