Exploring and colonizing planets was something the UNSC was good at. Working with the locals of the planet that they were colonizing...not so much. They had recently found a planet that was mostly water but had some land that could be colonized. Their planetary bio scans found life on the planet not on land but in the water. It seemed to be humanoid in life but upon further inspection the UNSC was surprised to find that these things were like the mermaids of fairy tale. They sent reconnaissance teams planetside to find out more information on these things. Their findings found out that like most humans some were very aggressive dragging some of the scientists to a watery grave. Others came without a fight. These things appeared to speak english with some minor translations here and there. The UNSC also learned that these creatures could not live on land past a couple of days. They had to build a tank to hold these creatures in for further studies. They had recently acquired one who appeared to have blond hair and look like she was in her 20s. Because of the correlation between the creature’s anatomy and human anatomy they needed a person who was quite versed in human anatomy hence they called Marine-276. 

Rebecca was working with someone on the firing range to improve her accuracy when she got the call to go to the recently colonized planet FE-108. She gathered up her equipment and hopped aboard the next pelican down to the planet from the UNSC Infinity. She was briefed on the ship ride down and was directed to her first “patient” upon landing. Rebecca saw the tubes of water used to guide the creatures from place to place. Rebecca figured that she might try to figure out the person’s name if she was going to get any where. When they guided the mermaid in Rebecca decided to speak. “Hi. My name is Rebecca and I’ll be taking care of you today. I know you don’t want to be here but we might as well make the best of it. May I ask you your name?” She said trying to keep a peaceful tone.

"Okay, Ajax, let's go down slowly..." Cynthia gulped, clutching her Altaria's neck tightly as the pokemon descended to the island below. She trusted him - she really did - but had vastly underestimated how long a flight from Slateport to Dewford would take no matter how short the map made it look. Eventually they settled on the beach just outside of town, and the girl stumbled off to the side, a hand on her head.

"Wow...that was fun." She gulped, knees still shaky. Her Altaria had only recently evolved, and it had occured to her that maybe - just maybe - they should have actually practiced before making a journey that long. Resting her back against the cave wall, she slowly sank to the ground, blinking as Ajax came over and nuzzled her shoulder.

"Yeah, I don't think you're small enough for shoulder rides any more." She giggled, patting his neck. They stayed there for a few more moments, before she forced herself to her feet again and started to stumble towards the town. Halfway there, she found her eyes following one of the locals, a pretty-looking blonde woman walking across the other way. Ajax let out a low, keening growl and batted her arm with his head, making her let out a gasp of surprise.

It was hard to believe she would be face-to-face with them like this. Alas, it is war. Cho glanced over her shoulder to see the battle raging on behind her. The Hoshidian shrine maiden ever so casually avoided the conflict by taking refuge behind a large pile of rubble. What she didn’t expect was to find a blonde woman there too.

The brunette stopped right in her tracks as she gripped her divine rod tightly with her hands. The other had a rather large axe laying beside her, showcasing she is a warrior. If they are on opposite sides...Cho is absolutely a goner. She is a holy person, not a fighter! Her large, reddish brown eyes stared at the Nohrian as she slowly spoke.

“H..Hiding as well..?”

► ¿ ◄  Siegbert spent most of his time training lately as his sword stance needed much improvement in the boy's eyes, yet the rock he normally used was out of the question for a while after the incident he already had with it. The last thing he needed was his father finding out the boy nearly injured himself with something so trivial while walking into the training yard he was met with an unexpected sight. Normally no one came out here at this time so to see Charlotte caused a cant of the young man's head, before walking over to the side as to not get in the way.

‘ Pet ’. A word used to describe him for so many years, and even still the meaning eluded him. Perhaps this was the human term for prisoner? Either way, he was offered no escape, only a large tank from a woman who mostly treated him with love and care. Even if he was held hostage at a young age, he never resented the race above; he just didn’t really care. Without a say in any decision, why should he bother?

Being raised in the Nohrian sea for a large portion of his life, the sight of Hoshidan sand was foreign to him. At first, he quite enjoyed it-- it was much more comfortable. However, as time went on, he noticed the small grains getting caught in between his scales. The feeling was very uncomfortable, and anytime he protested, he was always met with the same answer. He had given up after a short while.

Dwyer’s usual napping spot had been atop a boulder near the corner of the tank. If there was one thing he liked about the human captor, it was she allowed him peace whenever he’d drift off. Yet, the human he heard approaching early that morning hadn’t been the mistress-- it had been her bodyguard. Lazily rearing his head, he realized she was carrying two large bags of sand. It felt off-- usually the mistress was the one to refill the sand. Hope glint in his tired eyes as he made the rare effort into swimming to the surface. The blonde didn’t seem to notice him, for she absently began to fill the tank with sand. Once stray grains lodged themselves into the merman’s scales, his tail began to sway in hopes that would rid of the nuisance. When he went to make his move, she nearly fell in from shock.

‘Stay away from humans and their things, they’re dangerous.’ Takumi had been told that his entire life. And for good reason. He’s seen the scars left on his kind whenever a human caught wind of their existence. Or having swam too close to one of their crafts that is used to speed over the water’s surface (why anyone would want to be above the water rather than in it, the merman hasn’t a clue).

He hadn’t meant to wander upon the ship wreck, having been lost in thought has he idly swam around. Takumi had assumed everyone involved was dead, so it was safe to inspect. That’s when he found this shiny tool that lit up when touched. It interested him, making his amber eyes get a curious glint to them. And made him speak aloud, more to himself than the body resting on the shipwreck.

A soft, high-pitched voice sounded out alone within an empty ballroom. There stood the young Princess of Nohr, practicing her favorite activity. She had her striking, yellow-colored eyes closed while her hands grasped the pendant that hanged loosely around her neck. Azura didn’t understand the lyrics in the slightest, but her mother taught her the song. Always being reminded that she must sing this when commanded. Something about a dragon is the cause. The small girl just couldn't understand why, but she didn’t question it. Why should she? The songstress loved to sing! It’s truly her calling.

I wish mother was here to hear me..That was my best practice yet.”

Azura announced her sorrow out-loud with a slight sigh. She understood her parent being busy because she is the Queen of this kingdom. Alas..can she not make time for her daughter? Lonely. That’s how it felt here. Being treated cruelly by her own siblings and servants didn’t help at all either.
